Need your help BadWeb. I'm replacing the intake manifold seals and a frayed throttle cable. The manifold is out and I'm about to put everything back in. Does anyone have some advise on what else I should check and/or replace while the bike is torn down. I'm not interested in upgrades at this point... just maintance/check/inspection items. Thanks. |

Spark plugs/wires, check for leaks. That's all I can think of really that would need to be looked at. |

Yeah, plug wires are a good one. The boots and connectors are so tight that they sometimes tear during servicing. |

These bikes seem to wear down wiring/harnesses/etc. so it would probably be a good idea to give the stuff a once-over. |

Pistons, jugs, crank... Maybe a little head work if you're feeling frisky... Standard stuff. |

How many miles are on the bike? Since they are out you could have the fuel injectors cleaned and flow tested, or depending on how much they cost you could just replace them. |

Check the little vacuum cap on the throttle body. I've seen many intake seals get replaced, and that was all that was wrong.... |
