Would appear that you can now download the Buell parts catalog under the Gear section. Check it out. |

Hip-Hip-Hooray for Buell ! ! This is SUPER COOL and it is HUGE that it is even here. I'd love to see a major campaign of Badwebbers writing letters to Buell saying "thanks for sharing information that encourages us to buy more Buell products". I'll bet someone had to bleed to make this happen . . . it is very cool. The next step will of course be the "click here and it'll be at your dealer in 48 hours" function Buell pioneered 10 years ago along with the "Build Your Buell" feature. CONGRATULATIONS to someone! Sweet?? if only you could order direct from the Buell website. trying to find this stuff online is a chore. Online as in...have you checked the sponsor section? Check with our sponsors, I'd be willing to bet you could get anything from the catalog through...say...Stone Mountain H-D & Buell, just ask for Phil. Any of the sponsors should be able to help, SMH-D&Buell are just my favorite. |

Cool! Keep that up there come next Christmas, so I can leave hints for Santa Then get real parts catalog on there... All I will use it for is to make sure your dealers get the right part for me, or to fix or help other people fix your products. I don't mind paying for the service manual (and have for every Buell I have owned), but have a hard time paying for the parts manual... |

Buell broke the "old mold" when they made the S1 manual available for free download on the old buell.com website. I'd love to see that facility again, say three years after a bike is released. That way, they get to sell the manuals for the first 3 years and after that, the long term keeper type buyers get the info they need for the long term FOC. Everybody wins. How about that Mr Flickinger?

>>>Buell broke the "old mold" when they made the S1 manual available for free download on the old buell.com website. Actually there were TWO "Official" CD's released. It's funny . . . looking back. . . the was little demand for them, even with the really cool jewel boxes . . at that time. I've got a box of them buried somewhere and it was an idea well ahead of it times and, at the time, just something that seemed like the thing to do. There was a 1996 Service Manual and a 1997 Owners manual. I've posted photos of them before and will have to dig them out. Cool stuff. |

.......and the 96 S1 manual has the updated appendices for the '97 model year S1 included. Very cool indeed and a real shame that the factory ceased this policy. However, as I posted above, there could be a nice compromise available. Certainly, releasing the service and parts manuals as pdf's (say) 3 years after a model release would be a really big deal for long term owners. It would throw down the gauntlet to other factories too. A big side benefit is that it would instantly stop the pirates who sell CD's on EBay. |
