When I 'Fetch Maps' from the Fuel Maps tab on my ECMspys to grab my fuel maps, I end up with strange TPS/RPM data on the top (horizontal) header as well as the left side (vertical) header. The maps are identical (ie, the data is correct within the maps themselves) to the stock '07 fuel maps from the ECMspys site - but the numbers on the headers (TPS & RPM headings) are full of skewed numbers. As an example, where the top RPM header normally reads: 0 800 1000 1350 1900 2400 2900 etc., etc ... mine reads 5140 5140 7713 9772 13226 -244 etc. Any thoughts?? You most likely have the wrong ECM type selected. The same thing happened to me with my '04 XB12R. Once I selected the correct ECM type for my bike (GB231) everything looked good. If you're unsure, the ECM has the type printed directly on it. |

I had to use the driver update from the ECMSPY site so that the numbers would read correctly. |

Got it - thanks, 99. I was using default and needed to use IBXXX, instead. That's almost as bad as when i first downloaded ECMspys, fired it up and said to myself, "Sh*t ... now i have to learn German." Treadmarks, I received my Xopti EEPROM from Mike yesterday. Just for fun, I printed out both the stock '07 EEPROM and the Xopti EEPROM and compared them line-by-line last night. There are lots of changes in the Xopti EEPROM over the stock one, and according to Mike, timing, etc., as well as the fuel maps, so that just loading the fuel maps doesn't do it. I backed up my stock EEPROM to a CD, just to be safe. Looking forward to installing it as soon as weather permits. BTW, did I read somewhere that you did the datalogging step as well?? . |

JB, Yes, I did the in the garage in neutral datta logging, then stuffed the laptop in a backpak and did some wot data logging on the backroads. This gave me two maps to chose from. Map number 1 is great for work and back, map number 2 is good for blasting backroads. |

JB, I have the same problem that prompted you to start this thread, but I can't seem to find "IBXXX" in ECMspy. Any tips? I'm prepared to feel stupid at an obvious solution. Thanks, Josh |

Josh, its actually not IBXXX ... its BUEIB310 ... i just could not recall the last 3 numbers and put XXX...sorry! Open EMCspys Select BUEIB310 on the small 'Select Bike/Firmware' screen that pops up. Then click 'OK' ...you should be good to go. if not, try the old XB12 (GB231) and all of the rest of them until you can load Fuel Maps from the Fetch Maps, without skewed numbers on the headers. i had been using Default and should have selected BUEIB310....Grrrrr! if that fails, try to re-load drivers per the Buell Tuning Guide: LINK: http://www.ecmspy.com/download/BuellTuningGuide_EN _V1.6.pdf hope this helps...john . on ecmspy you need to add the ini files to the first download. its on the site, Below is the latest model file, usually included in the above, but updated between releases of ECMSpy. Put it in the ecmspy program folder (usually c:\program files\ecmspy\. http://www.ecmspy.de/download/ecmspymod.ini (you will have to right-click and save the link, as it will be displayed in the browser otherwise) |

They're not, the '08 engines have a completely different crank position sensor that reads 30 times per revolution, the '07 and older engines read crank position only two times per rotation. |
