Yeah. I mentioned to Kim on PM that I can't make it this Sunday. I was going to see if anyone wanted to go out on the 10th? The weekend after that, the 14, 15, 16th, there is a planned ride to Silver City, but I haven't done much planning and there's no way I can go. |

What was supposed to the plan for Silver City...? That's a nice riding area up/down rt 15 and the Mimbres Valley, assuming you survive the drone down I-25... or go the back/long way... If anybody is going... where are you staying? |

Thanks to all who made it to the rally- next year we'll put it on the Buell website and try to get it in FUELL magazine. We're up for going to Silver City. If anyone else is, let us know. The Faywood Hotsprings is a great place to stay if they're still open- camping and cabins with great hotsprings. No phones or TVs. Should be great riding. I'll have track day tickets later today for the Zia Thunder track day on October 28th. If we sell all 50 the track is ours. If anyone is interested, we're doing a dual sport ride this Sunday through the Jemez on the Dome road-leaving the dealership at 8:00 or so. Uly's Citycrosses and TTs will do just fine. Murrae |

According to one website, Faywood Hotsprings is closed and FOR SALE... might want to call and verift. Other suggestions... Grey Feathers Lodge (great spot at intersection of Rt 15 and the Mimbres valley road) and Bear Creek Motel & Lodge in Pinos Altos on Rt15. I want a track day ticket... Do I need to pick it up at the shop? N |

Nick- Thanks for the suggestions- we checked Faywood and it is indeed closed until October for more renovations. Let's talk and make a plan. The tickets are $70.00 and we have 50. I have them at the shop. We also have pit complimentary pit passes for friends, etc. I'll check about the extra tickets. There will be class time and riding with an instructor in the morning with four groups- street riders, novices, intermediate and expert. Open time in the afternoon with novice, intermediate and expert running 20 minute sessions separately. We should let everyone on our email list know. |

Murrae, can you check with the service department and see how my bike is coming along. Having heard from them in quite a while and last call I made was that they hadn't touched it yet. Please tell me the Silver City ride is not next weekend on the 15th, 16th of September... (Message edited by jmhinkle on September 04, 2007) |

Murrae, It's supposed to get looked at for sure tomorrow. Could you have them check the timing too? Maybe that is why the bike seems so hot to me. I am teaching MSF the weekend of Silver City so I can't make that. Thanks, Joel |

Everyone- The track day tickets are available for sale. You can contact me or John DelValle here at the shop. You should also be able to come the the shop anytime and get them from a cashier. JM- There should be a new swingarm on it's way and your timing will be checked when they put the swingarm on. MH |

From the sounds of it there hasn't been many tickets sold for the track day.... It really would be a shame to have this fall flat after so many people were hollerin' for it..... Murray said that you could email he with CC info and mailing addresses and he would mail the tickets to people who were unable to make it into the shop. |

Murrae, where is Zia Thunder and how far is it from the Colorado Springs area? Dan and I are going to Las Vegas the first weekend in October (for me) to go to Femmoto. Will be on the track Sat/Sun with lots of different bikes. Maybe I can talk Dan into trailoring the bikes to NM if it's not too far for more track time. Let me know, Julie |

It would be great to get some people from outta town. The track is in Abq that would be about 380 some miles from where you are. I have a spare room I'm willing to offer up to those from outta town. |

You know, I logged in today expecting to see that nobody had posted since last week. And I was all ready with me "It's boring around here" comment. But alas! Someone has posted!! I have not yet purchased my ticket. I was pretty sure they weren't going to sell out, at least not overnight, so I figured I could buy one at my leisure. But now that Kim is shaming me into it, I guess I'll call and order one since it seems unlikely that I'll be up there anytime soon. Anyhow, I leave for Las Vegas on Sunday, so I'll see all you peoples around later. |

Vegas???? What cha doin' there??? Yes, this has been a rather boring site the last couple of weeks. What is up with the rides??? Is anyone going to make it to the one on the 30th? If not I'm going to head over to AZ and run hwy 191 and camp for two nights. Just in case anyone was interested, there is a track day on Sunday. I'll be there with shade and chairs is anyone wants to stop on by. |

Nick, hope everything is ok. I'm going to Vegas for the American Society for Industrial Security show. It's the biggest show around and it's all week. I'm a presenter on Wednesday for "Crime & Security in the Hospitality Environment." We'll see how that goes. I'd be up for a ride on the 30th. Schedule says Enchanted Circle. Anyone else?? |

Folks- Anyone that does not live in Santa Fe should be able to call the shop (505-471-3808)and be able to buy a ticket with a credit card and have it mailed to them. If you are told you have to be there in person, get the person's name that is giving you this info and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again (if you get my drift). You can always email me at mhaynes@ridenow.com with your phone number and I'll call you and take care of it personally. Lets make this happen- I would like to do it twice a year, but if it falls on its face, we won't do it again. |

Hey NM Riders! Here in AZ they are removing all roadside markers/memorials of traffic fatalities. Is your state doing the same? My concern is for the memorial that was put up for fellow rider Darryl who fell a few years ago on the last Buell sanctioned ride. Has anyone been by the roadside memorial to check it? Ride safe all! |

Kobe, The memorial was still there, the end of August when I did HWY 191 with an an old friend from Tucson. We stopped and paid our respects to Daryl. The memorial was there, and still in fine shape along with the bits and pieces of his bike that were piled up on the guardrail support. We may want to look into this new plan of AZ, and see if it will effect ALL memorials, or just the tacky ones. Can you look into this? Or is there a link you can send me, in regards to this? CJ, where you planning on riding to? I'm in town, haven't ridden for all month due to the surgury I had, but I'm ready to ride now. |

We had a good ride yesterday. I brought two guys from work and Luis met us at Coffee At Dawn in Cedar Crest. Bart came out to say Hi and there were a number of interesting bikes to see. Bart went up the crest road while the rest of us went south to Mountainair. It was a nice ride with just the right mix of curves and open views, speed and WIND. Actually, it was windier than I would've liked. Bart: were there any cops on the crest road? Seems like the last several times I was up there it's been out of hand. It seems like you can't even ride on NM 4 thru Jemez Springs anymore without getting pulled over. Both Luis and Eugene (from my work) have gotten pulled over there twice recently for nothing really serious. Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone at the track day! |
