OK, so let me get this straight: we've got Painkillers, a custom turbo shop, and a battery supplier on the same block? I am SO moving to Eric's 'hood. |

Geeeee thanks Scotty!
Yeah...at a complete standstill at a red light...I had the bike in neutral and was leaning to my right warming up my hand on the bottom of the frame...something shifted and my left foot came up to counter balance...I caught my balance again but when my left foot came down...it landed on the shifter and the bike shot forward and then stalled. I managed to keep it from going completely down but it went far enough to snap off the passenger right side peg.
I WAS PISSED!!!
OH WELL!!! That is twice now the bike has been down...
Lets hope it doesn't get much colder for next weekend... |

Jp...i'm sorry to hear.I did That once when my 996 was a week old.I was doing a balancing act at a stop light(at a complete stop).It started to go..i couldn't stop it and i was left standing next to it staring at it on the ground...very embarrassing |

Jp I have a "rider" right side peg that will fit to get ya by.
You can have it.
I only have the left side on the rear pegs. |

Yeah so this is a fun day of work...
We have a gas leak in the area and I was asked to stay home 'cause they got hits in the basement this morning and all around the front of the foundation.
So, I'm working from home with guys from Nstar running in and out of the basement taking readings and a whole crew outside starting to poke around all their access points and maybe getting ready to start digging...
Productive day and I get to stay out of the office! |

Scotty, Battery "looks" to be okay. Says it is charged. we shall see...I'll Be riding into work if ya want to meet up for the ride in.
I do see a NEW battery in the near future... |

I've gotten one of my pistons re-machined!!!
My friend flagged me down after work and pulled me into his shop.He chucked the first one,trued it to my satisfaction.Then took each cut and verified it with me.Mounted the second piston and got disturbed by the BEER crowd and said we'll finish it at 3p tomorrow.My God...thanks for old friends.
The mods are VERY minor but,necessary in order for the pistons to fit the heads.But ASSEMBLY can happen then.Ducati superbike...mmmmmmmmmmmmm,i'm happy,and Damnut's on his way over to say hello too.I've got a warm heart |

BTW, a friend at work is selling a nice gpz550 for cheap (800) runs great, if any one is interested, would make a great first bike for someone or a nice collector piece with a little work. |

I emailed sully the other day on how Derrick was doing and if there was going to be a "Fund" of some sort. I'd like to give something if it happens. I have not herd back from him yet. Last I herd on Derrick was he made it through surgery
I was under the impression an Auction of some sort would be done, I have seen enough of them on Badweb so I assume it would be fine w/ Blake...
Jim was talking about it and that was the last I herd of it, I don't know, Maybe he got shut down by the upper gods.
As a "Sport bike community" I was hopping to see more on this from others on the Board. Maybe this is more a "Buell Community" only...which is a bit sad. I'm willing to pitch in some stuff, maybe some parts if I could find something not already beat up, cash is always cool.
The rest of Badweb never stepped up either which is a little sad too, Guess one needs to be in the "Click" (Buells once again)around here...But what do I know.... |

I stopped asking 'cause I wasn't hearing anything when I did.
I don't care one way or the other what he was riding...he was riding with us.
I don't have parts hanging around but I do have some $ ready to buy things at auction or just donate straight up (a collection may be a lot easier than trying to put together an auction - but that's just my opinion).
I've been hoping to hear some updates on how he is doing...still in the hospital? still in NY? did he get to keep his foot? how's the head? etc etc etc... |

just donate straight up (a collection may be a lot easier than trying to put together an auction - but that's just my opinion).
In all honesty, it would probably be more productive than an auction right now with the holidays fast approaching.

I've been REALLY busy lately with the job and getting the house prepped for the baby. I want to do something for him as well it's just I just haven't had much time to dedicate to this lately.
If someone could start a speadsheet of all of the stuff we want to sell it would be a HUGE help for me.

I talked to sully today. Derrick is doing a little Better. He should be transfered to a Hospital in NH after the holidays. Sounds like He has a long way to go.

Well,i spent the day at the Ducati mechanic's school of thought.An hour discussing cam timing theory and piston squish band adjustment.Though,i've technically got everything to throw it together and ride,proper clearance verification and timing adjustment will yield the biggest gains.Thinking about a second gear set(chain/sprockets)for lower speed axell but limiting top speed below 150 |

If anyone's considering any online purchases, stay away from exotic-sportbike.com. I just attempted to cancel an exhaust system after waiting for over two months. Right after I canceled they emailed and said I'm getting it anyway; it already shipped. I don't yet know if they're going to stick me with a restocking fee. I mean, there's no way in hell they're going to stick me with a restocking fee.
