Hi guys,
I have a 04 lightening motor in a chopper frame with 134 rear wheel hp and I would like to add the usual, speedometer, tach, and other accessories. Can you guys tell me where the sensors are located on the motor. I want to use the existing sensors to add the accessories. Thanks in advance.

Speedo sensor is on top of the crank case, it's a magnet plug with wire coming off it. It reads off the transmission, so unless you have the same gearing and wheel size, it will read wrong.

The wheels are also from the lightning. I'll take a look for the sensor. Are there any other sensors that control gauges and idiot lights? I will use the buell speedo, tach and dash. Thanks Reepicheep!

The bike is almost 1600cc and almost 15k in the motor alone.

that is not even a 04 lightning motor in that bike. 15 k on a motor would almost be impossible and the wheels are pm not stock buell.

Genius... the top end is S&S. It's a built motor. I asked for help with sensors, not haters that can't afford. .By the way I have a ducati 749r and 999r and a 30' scarab offshore race boat, 07 mercedes benz s550 a year before it came out and a 06 Range Rover Sport. I expect more hater comments. I will only respond to anyone with some sense that wants to help me. Thanks to all of you that assisted me.

like i said it not a 04 lightning motor it dosen't have 15k in the motor and it doesn't have 134 horse. come on your running a stock harley cv carb don't you think if it had 134 horse it would need more than that. I am not a hater just staten ovious facts from the picture you posted. and as for a being a genius i think maybe you are if you can see my bank account to know what i can and can't afford. It is ovious you are trying to impress people, you ask for sensor help then post a picture of your bike claiming 134 horse what does that have to do with sensors. Then I comment on your post and you come back with a list of high dollar bikes and cars, and if that isn't enough you claim mercedes offers you a car 1 year before the release. come on just ask for help and leave it at that.

Jeez guys,be nice.
I have more than 15000 in my new motor so it is very possible(and that was with substantial discount). Those wheels came stock on my S-2 and a bunch of other Buells ,just to clear that up. Reep already addressed speed sensor, there will be an oil light sender and your tach feed is from coil.
And it is possible to be mistaken about year model of an engine if you are unfamiliar with Buells. It is an earlier model because of the pushrod tubes and rear mounting arrangement.

Then that is all that matters.

It's not what you ride.

It's that you ride.
