I'm new to buell as I have only owned one for one day now. I just bought a 2003 XB9S. It has a silver muffler on it and from all the pictures I've seen the stock muffler is black. There are no markings on the muffler that I can see so i'm trying to figure out if it's the stock muffler or not. From a few pictures i've seen on the web the Jardine muffler looks a little smaller than the stock one, however the muffler on my bike has the stock size and shape. Here are some links to a few pics I took.

Is the Buell race muffler any good or are there better choices. I was looking around and was thinking about getting the polished Jardine muffler when I came across the comparison test linked on American Sport Riders website and I realized that I might already have an aftermarket pipe.

"Is the Buell race muffler any good or are there better choices. "

Race mufflers are basically junk. Sell it to me for $50.00.

American Sport Bikes did a head to head test of the more popular Buell after-market systems. Check it out on their site.
I think the race pipe stacks up well.
