I have to say . . . I LOVE THIS STUFF! All the "50 year old tractor engine" crap pretty well becomes meaningless. . .

Agreed, I was hesitant to buy a Buell, after I read this I was comfortable with my purchase. Love my ULY... Hey Court, do you have enough applications running man?! lol |

Harley runs endurance tests on the Thunderstorm quite often. 24 hours at 7k revs is amoung a variety of tests. They dyno punish these motors more in 2 hours than the average guy will in 2 years. Last weekend my buddy took me on the PDC tour, we got to his booth and he says.."john, see that (points to 2 gouges in the bullet proof glass window tat looks into his dyno cell)?" I nod... "Thats where the parts of your favorite motor exploded into my window" The PDC work motors until they drop, and they should. One thing is for sure. Proper maintenace is the key to longevity with HD motors. |

Funny I just talked to one of the Uly testers this morning and he mentioned that test. Said they would ride it with the throttle pinned for hours around a 5 mile loop, bumping off the rev limiter over and over. |
