I will probably dislike the look but like the functionality. I have a mill/lathe and should be able to machine the brackets. Besides I'd rather clean the bugs from the windshield than my face. IMO a better option is something from the Givi line -- great product, easy install, looks good too. I replaced them with machine screws and locknuts from the local hardware store. Make sure metal fasteners do not contact flat surface of fairing or windscreen. Use rubber washers as spacers.
