We had a great day too.Thanks for the cameraderie.Speaking of cameras'(lol),Nate,when you get out of work one day this week(or any time as i'm on vaca.) let's do Paydenarium ASAP.Gotta ride again out Compton way.Thursday night bikenight this week should be a night like the last one that ended at That "Lil Texas" joint.WANNA????

It was great day guys. I wish I had those types of roads by me I would be burning through tires so fast.

I forgot to comment about one of the roads we went on after leaving the DD. It had a sharp rise mid way through a right hand turn. Yup front tire came off the ground while leaned over that puckered me up for a second. lots of fun though.

JP- I'm definitely going to get some bar-end mirrors, so expect a CAD file of my concept for the handguard combo mount.. You guys got a lathe?

yup...I got a lathe and a bridgeport...competent on the lathe...bridgeport is somewhat sketchy but doable (just takes me more time to figure out offsets and tooling).

Hey Greg...your a machinist...any bridgeport availability at your place?

Yeah...a Bridgeport and small lathe.And i'm pretty good with both.With a lot of forethought i could write a program sometime using existing tooling/materialsize(up to 7/8")and run parts off on one of the Swiss type machines.Could be good for a lot of parts.But timing is VERY tough on a production CNC lathe.

Nate,i lost your number,today is a good day to ride if you want.Be nice to ride Padenarum and faunce corner to old fall river road to sanford road.Let me know,i can come out.

JP- I'm probably just going sacrifice 1/2" of handlebar real estate and mount the bar-end mirrors on my bars, sliding the controls in a bit. I'll have to buy new grips (again) because the lefty will have to be cut off. But here's another one we can make: axle sliders. 1" round 6061 goes for $.38/inch. Machine that, tap it, throw in a threaded rod and you just saved $100.If you want to get fancy I guess you could machine the face convex, but they're there to get damaged. I'll get some dimensions off Eric's tonight.

Yup, sliders were the next scheduled project...and I was planning on making several sets. The money saved is crazy!!!

I talked to Eric about the face and while it is harder to do...the convex shape does make them work better - no edges to dig into the pavement with. Once I've got the measurements for the guts I'll put out a few sketch ideas and post them for input...they could be group trademark if I could figure out how to put the NEBO logo on them...oh yeah...we never picked one...

Hey - lets get on that logo thing!!!

The bike is running sweet again! I should have just came home and changed it yesterday, we drove right by it...Oh well it was still fun thrashing it a bit harder any ways!

If riding today after work I'd like to head up to Leominster/Princeton area - there's a small burger joint on 140 or 31 that has a bike night on Tuesdays...usually has a big crowd...I'll post by lunch if I'm riding or climbing...

My climbing plans have been canceled so I'm definitely riding tonight.

I can't remember the name of the place & I haven't been able to find a listing on-line either. Since I can't find that...I can't guaranty that tonight will be a bike night...it is possible they do theirs on thursday nights...it's been a year since I've been there...I just know where it is when I drive by.

At the least there will be a ride and food.
