will a full buell race system for a 96-98 s1-m2 fit an o2 m2? will it make a difference to a basically standard bike? |

IIRC the later bikes changed frame where header exits . |

Yeah, Fireman's right. You can actually see the difference in the shape of the header. Pieces-parts may fit, but as for the whole kit, it would be a no-go. Is an 02 fuel injected? |

Probably the only part of the kit that won't mate up is the header itself. I would think that everything else would go. Now, if you are buying or have bought this kit, just use everything but the exhaust and either use the appropriate year header or use a slip on like a Vance and Hines or something. I will tell you though, that I have the race kit on my 97' Cyclone and the exhaust note is fabulous. Hope I helped you some. |

I thought old style, outside of the frame exhaust systems would fit newer tube frames (but not the other way around). I've seen the older stock exhaust systems installed on the latter tube frames right here on the BadWeb, but don't know what hoops had to jumped through to get it done. |

A older (pre-99) header will fit on a 99 and up tuber. However a 99 and up header will not fit on a pree-99 bike. |
