I apologize for the posting of this technical questionhere, but at the cost of 1000 Dollars to get my bike certified I want as many inputs to mke the best decision possible.

Can anyone tell e what is the difference between these 2 ecms. Also could someone please cross reference these 2 ECMs and see what comes up?

Y0152.3A8 04223 US model

AND

N0326.1AA03114 Came off a Japanese Buell.

More specifically I am wondering if the Japanese ECM is stricter with the Emissions compliance in Japan.
I am trying to get mine emissions tested and certified over here in Japan. I have acess to both but need to know If one is better than the other when It comes to Emissions.

Thanks

Jason,

I doubt it very much if any one on this forum is going to be able to help you.

Buells are not very common in Japan.

If you are in Japan and are worried about emissions wouldn't it make more sense to use the Japanese ECM to pass tenken and then switch them out after you have passed inspection.

There are plenty of chinpira over here who ride big mopeds which would never pass inspection if they didn't change their bikes back to stock first. Most of them have after-market exhaust that is not allowed, but they get away with it. The police are not as strict over here as they are in the US.
