I just want to say "thank you" to all the Bad Weather Bikers. I just purchased an '06 Uly last Friday. I put 400 miles on it last weekend, rode to Blackhawk raceway in Northern Illinois and watched some Buells fly around the track. Let me tell you, riding this machine was a joy!! I almost purchased a BMW and considered waiting for the new Kawasaki Concours 1400 to come out. Here's what really swayed my decision to buy the Buell 1)Bad Weather Biker "Coolice"/ Mike K. Thanks Mike! Buell should have him on the payroll. 2)This website and all of you. In the last week reading your posts (lurking)I've learned more about my new bike than I really should know. It's a pleasure to know there are people out there who share a passion for this machine and the lifestyle of riding. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and opinions you all are willing to share on this site. I look forward to sharing some adventure stories and tech tips after I log some more miles. Thanks!! | ||

Welcome dude! Being a fairly new Uly owner myself, I am still basking in the warmth of the new Buell sunlight...or maybe that's just the incredible heat sizzling my right inner thigh in 95 degree heat...well, no, it's the newfound pride of ownership. I too find this site pretty damn awesome, and if the world wasn't so big with all of us spread out, we could have a kickass party. I'll buy the first round, and raise a toast to you, Hclem3!!! The new bike is very fast and very orange. However, I'm considering switching out the orange air box and fly screen with carbon fiber. That should make it faster than the stock orange or black. | ||

Both the black and orange ones are slow, Carbon Fiber is the way to go!  | ||

It's not the carbon fiber that makes the bike faster, it's the fact that your pockets are so much lighter....  | ||
