Ahh - I enjoyed it.
Location spotting was a lot of fun. And enjoyed the visuals.
'That's ... we rode there!'
and I was happy with the interpretation of the book.
Teary little blubberers did annoy me too - not as much as the mrs.
'Why don't they just F*****' HARDEN UP was her call.

I disagree that Japanese or any other brand doesnt have recall issues. I also own a 2002 GoldWing that underwent three to four recalls at different times that kept it in the shop for 6 months.
My Uly has done a lot better, the dealer has fixed everything and had it out the same day.

OOOOhhh Ft Bstrd....I apologize...I didn't know you owned this website. I felt like since I was a Buell owner, and a HD owner, that maybe I could have some input here. Based on your personal information, I was riding and working on my own bikes, when you were still an itch in your Daddy's pants. Be careful what you comment on. Maybe you should stick with your imports, and Trekie, Hobbit friends...stuff you actually have knowledge about. It's easy to pretend to ride and work on a motorcycle from behind a keyboard all hours of the day, and then there are the most of us, who actually like to experience the real thing. Thanks for all the nice contributions to my comments.. And I'll try and get back with you Blake.. Thanks...That is if Ft Bstrd will allow me to use his website...I thought all this belonged to Al Gore anyway?

No, no, you have it a bit confused... some people think Al Gore "created" the internet and so they worship him. But he doesn't own the BadWeB. : )

FtB is just teasing you. He's a great guy.

Will be looking for your info, no pansy arse "try" about it. You want assistance, then get back to me and we'll do what we can.

As I sat at the bar for a quick sushi lunch today, my eyes strayed to a unique set of bottles in front of me. FB is getting so popular he even has his own wine. Now that's clout!

I wasn't brave enough to try it....

Ntmmd8r: Is that the dealership in Shreveport? I feel your pain having lived there.

Honestly- I think your beef is with the dealership not a company with a recall. I say this with all sincerity ... I have owned Buells since '99 and the company has bent over backwards in Customer Service. In my experience...the dealerships have caused my pain and it's taken the excellent folks at Customer Service and the factory to make things BETTER than just resolved. They have always exceeded my expectations.

Ntmmd8r,

You more than likely a very nice fellow, but your initial flash in the pan was reminiscent of many an a$$hat that frequents these halls spoiling for a fight rather than seeking genuine assistance. Most here have suffered through even darker days with Buell and are still here.

You will find that just about everyone on Bad Web will bend over backward for ANYONE who comes here but resist assisting those who take a big dump in the middle of a thread and expect something to be done.

There is a member here who's tactic turned to threats, curses, and intimidation in an attempt to coerce Buell into action. He is a great person with a unique occupation and lifestyle that many here would be envious of. He, alas, was unable to find restitution. Was it because the assistance was unavailable? No. It was because those who could help chose not to after several attempts to throw him a line. Unfortunately, he moved on to the ranks of the "UnBuelled".

Bad Web is certainly not mine, but I am VERY defensive of it. There are some of the greatest people here. I have had people who don't know me from Adam go to great lengths to help me. I, in turn, would do anything that I possibly could to help anyone I could. This place is unique.

Blake will help you if you let him. If you chose to follow the dark path, you will find no restitution to your situation.

As far as itches in pants, I wouldn't know. I didn't ask my father for I ate both of my parents at a young age. They seemed like nice folks, but tasted better with Ketchup!

i second the Deathray. Although I'm not out to blind anyone...

I like the Buttplug, and nice little tail section, too... good thinking to keep the dirt from getting in the key-hole.

>>They seemed like nice folks, but tasted better with Ketchup!<<

Horace

Much to his Mum and Dad's dismay
Horace ate himself one day.
He didn't stop to say his grace,
He just sat down and ate his face.
"We can't have this his Dad declared,
"If that lad's ate, he should be shared."
But even as he spoke they saw
Horace eating more and more:
First his legs and then his thighs,
His arms, his nose, his hair, his eyes...
"Stop him someone!" Mother cried
"Those eyeballs would be better fried!"
But all too late, for they were gone,
And he had started on his dong...
"Oh! foolish child!" the father mourns
"You could have deep-fried that with prawns,
Some parsley and some tartar sauce..."
But H. was on his second course:
His liver and his lights and lung,
His ears, his neck, his chin, his tongue;
"To think I raised him from the cot
And now he's going to scoff the lot!"
His Mother cried: "What shall we do?
What's left won't even make a stew..."
And as she wept, her son was seen
To eat his head, his heart, his spleen.
And there he lay: a boy no more,
Just a stomach, on the floor...
None the less, since it was his
They ate it – that's what haggis is.

Python, M.

Hi every one.I've been lurking for a for a while now and i thought I would share with you what happen to me. I picked up a new Uylsses in September 2006 and had issues with excessive amount of oil puking in the air box. After the dealer rering the motor and the problem not being solve, I proceed and wrote a letter of disatisfation to Harley Davidson Australia about there product. The bike had only travelled 3000 km.To cut a long story short the bike was replaced. You can't get better than that. The service I receive from the dealer and from Harley Davidson Australia has been first class.

-- That's one tactic -- saturate a thread with a lot of cr-r-r-r-ap and bury the original intent of this thread. Sure feathers may have got ruffled but I think you guys are doing a disservice. Hopefully when you get pissed over a shittee dealership and start questioning your purchase people will still see through the frustration to assist.

I know I was frustrated as hell with my 1st Buell. It was contact with Buell CS (when it was at the factory) that assured me I made a good choice. If I hadn't made those calls/e-mail to Joni, I may have doused it with gas and tossed a match on it in the dealer's parking lot.

Dave,

Did YOU see much assisting going on? Blake offered to help. If 8r provides him with the information needed, hopefully a resolution will emerge.

Until then, this thread is dead. Actually, it was dead about 18 posts ago, we are merely keeping it at the top of the page.

You know if it's at the top, it's more likely to get read. if it's 32 slots down, it probably won't get noticed.

We are actually doing the thread a service. If we wanted to truly feather over it, we would all brag about how flawless our bikes are and how great our dealer experience has been (which mine has). We all await word back from Blake or 8r.

Until then, I'm simply keeping the lookers entertained! ;)

Thanks, to everybody...Is there anyway I can just send somebody my recall notices and get the parts to fix these items myself. I've already spent a lot of money on non recall issues. I like tinkering around on bikes, but damn! Paying good money for something new, and then having to keep redoing, replacing, etc.... crap with only 3k miles is ridiculous. It's just very disheartening, when you try and push for American based companys and American workers, and end up with pinging, wheel wobble, broken clutch cable guide, melted useless clutch cable, already a new cooling fan, taillight lens assembly, fouled plug, a loose oil line at delivery as well as under inflated tires, the frame burning my right inner thigh, the worry of my bike's kickstand breaking and falling over, the tall windshield taking my head off, and now a bank angle sensor leaving me dead in the water....Not a good way to be in a place full of idiotic drivers. I broke down, and was going to get the kickstand fixed, and made two trips to the local dealer, only to get the run around both times. They probably did me a favor, based on all my friend's experiences with their incompetence.} I just hate having to keep pumping money into something that I have used this little, and even been real nice to. It's just not fair...or right. I apologize for being such a d.h. in earlier posts...I just have bad moments...and this sure is a sore subject with me. And yes I've thought of selling it, but the dealer can't give them away here, Ebay prices suck, and darn it, I just love the bike itself, it's all the quirks that are killing my soul. I keep hoping Alan Funt will pop out of a corner, with a camera, and find out it was all a joke.}
