I need to reattach a tank cover tab to a 2000 tank cover. What method of repair has worked for you? This is a spare cover so it is off of the bike and I have time to do it correctly. Thanks for your help!

No one has had to repair the tabs on their tank cover? I know I saw a topic where someone was asking for a spare tab, so the info is out there.

Thanks

Use some plastic epoxy. I had one crack, but not break and it has not failed yet.

FYI - I ended up using a two-part urethane adhesive to repair the tank cover. I used Hardman brand A-85 bubblepack. There was more than enough adhesive for the tab repair and it appears to be attached more firmly than the original hot weld. I will report if I have any problems. PS - Our chemical engineer noted that this adhesive would be much better suited than Gorilla Glue or any other one-part adhesive.
