There's a dealer near me that has an early production '06 Uly demo in stock. It has the top box, saddlebags and lower seat. He's also willing to take my M2 in trade. Though I love my M2, I really like the idea of a Uly's flexibility. Will I be disappointed if I trade? |

Here at our house, the M2 stayed and the Uly came home. The joke around here is that the M2 is the "girlfriend" and the Uly is the "wife". It really depends on what type of riding you do or want to do. I guess from my username, you can see which bike I (the real wife!) prefers! I'm sure those who ride will have lots of opinions to offer. |

I traded an M2 for a Uly, I've never regretted it. |

I traded my 1998 M2 Cyclone for the 2006 Uly. I just wished I could have kept both, but the Ulysses is the all around better motorcycle. |

I went from a 2000 M2 to an '06 Uly. The Uly is a better bike. |

I went from a 2001 M2 to the Uly. Wish I would have kept the M2. However, since I could only have one bike at the time the Uly was definitely the correct choice. |

How much are they giving you on the M2 for the trade? If the trade in is low and you're paying full bull on the Uly, you may be ahead by selling the M2 and using the cash to haggle them down/reduce the loan amount on the Uly. That's just a thought. It can get complicated and time consuming and queer the deal unless you have a clear title on the M2 and sell it quickly. But the bottom line appears to be that no one was every unhappy because they moved from an M2 to a Uly. And the only happier peeps are the ones that kept them both of course. Owning two Buells? It's bad enough have to choose the cleanest underwear out of the dirty laundry pile in the morning, I don't know if I could handle having to decide which bike to ride to work too. :> Jack |

I loved my 02 M2 but I have never regreted the trade for the Ulysses. Once you have the Uly your time in the saddle on the M2 may be severly limited. One thing that was better on the M2 was the low end was awsum. But thats where the advantage ends. After riding the M2 I couldn't believe how plush the suspension was on the Uly. Go for it big fella. |

I kept my City-X for two months after purchasing the Uly, I loved that bike, but I only rode it twice after the Uly came into my life, just to not leave it set too long. With the extra Tag and insurance, and knowing I wasn't going to ride it, I sold it with no regrets except that my fifteen year old was eying it. He'll be starting on the road with our Blast. |

The 98 S3T is still in the garage, but with the ULY in there also, it does not get much if any use now. Riding the ULY and then getting the S3 out is like riding the S3 and then getting the Electra Glide out. The wife also opts for the Uly over all others available due to comfort from a passengers point of view. |

The Ulysses is better, but different. It's way smoother, far more comfortable, much more reliable, gets better gas mileage, and doesn't run like an epileptic waterhead when it's cold. I love having big luggage, and I LOVE fuel injection. I kept my M2 because I like to put my knees down, and the Uly will never satisfy that need. If I had to pick just one bike, it would definitely be the Uly though. |
