Here in Ontario Canada Buells seem to be rare. My 2006 XB9SX, and a friends 2000 X1 are about the only ones I know of in my area. Are there any other Buell riders in Durham Region. |

Try the Storm Fronts forum. It's dedicated to finding local riding groups. |

I am in Toronto. Recently had a couple of nice rides up 12 to 48 to 35 up through Haliburton. Try 118 between Carnarvon and Bracebridge. Some fast curves, clear straights. I am told it is between OPP jurisdictions so doesn't get patrolled too much. Watch out for moose. Would love to join you but am off the road for a while. Bike got stolen last weekend. |

Hey, I'm in the west end of the GTA. Sorry to hear about your bike Tleighbell. Whereabouts was it stolen? That's gotta suck because there aren't many around. |

Stolen last Saturday am. Left it on a ramp by the DVP after a small mishap resulting in broken brake lever. Couldn't get a tow truck. By the time I rented a van and got back it was gone. Yellow 03/XB9S. Only bought it last fall, imported from Hals'. Most fun bike I have owned. I plan on getting another Buell once I settle up the insurance claim. Cixyx, when I get rolling again maybe a trip along Credit Forks road would be in order. Cdn_xbr I work in Mississauga so a ride after work could work out. Ever stop at the Ice House in Campbellville Sunday mornings? |

That's a tough break Tleighbell. I hope things go good with the insurance company. A ride to break in your new bike is a good idea. I just bought my CityX this spring from Barrie Harley Davidson. Jack is good to deal with and gave me a good price too. |

Hey Tim, I never been out west to Campbellville, but I work in Mississauga too. Tomken and Eglington area, so yeah a ride for sure would work out. And the 07 models look to have many improvements. It's funny because I got my XB from Barrie H-D also. Jack is a great guy, got a great deal on mine used XB, and he even took in my GS500 as a trade-in. |

Barrie HD was good to deal with. But stay away from Mackies HD. The prices are too high ( they wanted more than Buells list price for a CityX ). And they don't want to talk to your about Buells. I moved up from a 1985 Ninja 600R. |

I was at Mackies. The salesman cheerfully admitted he didn't know a thing about Buells. They just strapped a plate on a new XB12S and told me to bring it back sometime. That's what sold me on the bike but I bought used in the US. They wanted a lot for the bike its true. They had a mechanic in the shop who race an XBR. I deal with Jacox Harley in Mississauga. Again, pleasant and try to be helpful but they don't know Buells, except for a couple of guys in the shop who have them. I had a YZF 750 and an SV650 and various Triumphs, Nortons, Royal Enfields, BMW's before the Buell. I have ridden the latest 600RR's at Mosport (rentals). Also an RC51. Like the Buell. |

ahh Tim!!! that sucks!! hope everything insurance/new bike purchase related goes well and that you're back on the road soon!! Just to pipe in to the thread topic, here in the Ottawa area I have met and/or ridden with a half dozen other local Buell riders (all xb's and a Blast). I see others very occasionally on the roads. Our two dealers here are pretty good--Freedom HD (my dealer) treats me well and I have nothing but good things to say 'bout them. If you Toronto based folks ever want to try to set up some kind of a "unofficial Buell meet" somewhere 'tween Ott and TO, let me know...I can try to herd some of us up. Ride Safe!! Rod |

I was at Mackies a couple of months back and it seemed like the standard H-D crowd, but there were two guys, how were crazy about Buells. One was heading up sales for Buells atleast. Pretty cool guy and very pro Buell. He was trying to start up a Brag chapter. I haven't been by since so I'm not sure on how it's going, but with his enthusiasm I'd definately join up. Yeah I've been to Jacox also and one salesman I spoke with also admitted he knew nothing about the Buells, but could appreciate the technolgy and design of the XBs. |

I'd like to meet up with some other Buell minded folks for some 45 degrees fun. Tough to get off the leash long enough to get out to Ottawa, though I bet there are some good rides out through the Gatineau's. I was thinking to take a day to go up through Haliburton this fall but now it depends on getting some wheels. |
