There is a 12/36 hour rally in Watertown SD on labor day weekend. http://www.glmc.org/buffalo.html I plan on entering the 2up class. Headed to the badlands and the black hills afterwards. Looks like fun, and I should have several friends there as well. |

I did the Buffalo Rally two years ago. GLMC puts on a good rally. Good food, interesting bonuses, good time for all. I've also attended their May Bonzai rally. You will have a good time. I have other Labor Day plans or else I would be attending too. |

Lorazepam, Are you entering the 12hour or 36? I only live 45 mi away from Watertown and never heard of that rally. It looks like fun. I have benn thinking of entering the 12hour but I don't have any clue what to expect. Can any of you guys enlighten me. (A 12 hour day on my X1 will be the longest I have tried) Al |

Al It is like a scavenger hunt, just 12 hours long. You plan a route to get the most points (stuff to find or do) in the least amount of time. I have a lot of long distance riding friends at www.yearroundriders.com . They can help you out in what to expect. It would be nice to have some other Buells on the site, lots of BMW riders there. Nice folks and no one runs down what you ride, it is about the ride there. |
