Took my daughter to breakfast at the world famous Rock Store this a.m. Parked as usual to the stares as my fan screamed my arrival. After we ate we went out to find two more Pumpkins in front of mine! This is one more than I've ever seen except on a dealer's lot. One of the riders I recognized since I'd talked with him before was talking with a woman who evidently owned or had something to do with the Uly parked beside his. Turned out she and/or her significant other had just bought the motor and she was all smiles describing their satisfaction with it. Except for the stock tall seat. She explained that they had the Low seat on order, the first Uly guy commented that they should wait for the '07 to arrive and try that seat out first. I explained why I disliked the Low seat I bought, that from what I'd heard the standard for '07 had been reworked, that I was waiting to try a '07 myself. Her friend had shown up and decided that might be a good thing to do also I mentioned that there was a great Buell forum where they could learn a lot by searching "badweb". That was when the first guy said he was with BadWeB, I then found out he is Teeps! Three Buells within 10 feet and two are BadWebbers! Before noon! (when the black ones finally get there). Teeps, I would have stayed to talk some more but my daughter was on a schedule. I returned to the Rock Store about 1130, both you and the new Uly couple were gone. See you next time! But later there was a guy on a 06/06-made '07 there (orange of course because it's still before noon and the black bikes haven't arrived yet). He let me sit on the new seat. It's great. For general riding or touring the slightly lower height, firmness, and better taper compared with the Stock or Low should suit me fine. Eventually, since my dealer can't get one yet. Bottom line, for the couple on their new School Bus, if you reach this forum. Hope you do. Drop me a PM. Next time you're at the Rock Store I can bring my new in-the-box Low seat. We can swap for a couple weeks or so if you want, you can try it out. No sense in back-ordering an '07 seat if a current Low will work out for you! |
