I purchased a Daytona Boss pipe 2 years & 10,000 miles ago. The rear clamp broke at the bend after 1,000 miles & I was down for a month. I ordered 2 clamps. They sent one new clamp with more gently radiused bends which has worked great for 9,000 miles. I bugged them for 4 months for my spare clamp, and they finally sent a clamp that was *way* to big. Upon questioning they said they don't have access to Buell's anymore and were guessing at the size. Three months later (after weekly calls) they sent me a new (much beefier) clamp that fits a little loose, but I'm giving it a try. Janet, at Stainless Specialties said this would be the last clamp I could get, as they are no longer selling or servicing the 'Daytona Boss' muffler. I love the sound and look of this pipe, hoping that the clamps hold up for a while or I'm SOL. Wondering if anyone else had heard the same regarding Stainless Specialties discontinuing the pipe? |

I feel your pain bradda. I too have the BOSS and love its sound. I've been reading on this board how Daytona H-D gave up on the pipe and SS wasn't too sure whether they'd continue it. My front strap just broke so I too am looking for a resupply source. If I find one or just have to get a few straps fabricated, I'll let ya know. H-man |
