I plan on going. Couch, floor, tub, porch, doghouse ... space is fine. Whodon from S.C. is also planning on being there and is asking about accomodations. If there is room I'll tell him.

Rubberdown -- We'll count you in on the cabin and let Whodon know that he can plan on staying with us as well. That puts us at 9 currently.

Carlos, if I can borrow your trailer that would be awesome and I'm in for Daytona. I'll talk to you about that at the meeting, I guess. : ) I just need to go online and look at ordering my tickets. : )

Bye the way, what kind of trailer is it and what size hitch ball do I need? Thanks

Hi Ulywife,

Just got e-mail from Rubberdown about the cabin. That is supremely cool of y'all to let me stay with you; I really appreciate it. Please let me know if you need $$ for a deposit or anything.

I'm looking forward to meeting you folks. I know Rubberdown from the "First National Honda Ascot Rally" back in 2003 (see more here: http://home.earthlink.net/~steamloc/ascot.html). Since then, both Rubberdown and I became Buell riders. Last year, I hung out with Rubberdown, U4euh and their friend Pete.

Nance, I'll probably pick up I-95 at Lumberton.

Ya'll will like Whodom. He's good to the core... unlike me, my core is rotten.

Whodom, Great link! Those were the days eh?

Nance, I'll probably pick up I-95 at Lumberton.

I was trying to decide if I should ride east and meet up with the crowd from that direction, or ride south and meet up with you and Jim. But now that I've looked at the Map, I should do neither and pick up 40 in Benson. I assume we are all going to try and meet up on 95 somewhere?

Jlnance - Last year we met up with Spike near Fayetteville. I would guess we would do the same thing this year. Brankin and I met up at our usual spot, the Fuel Warehouse in Kinston

Then rode down Hwy 55 to I-95 and met up with Spike.

Larry, we left at first light basically. I would want to do the same thing this year. I would guess that you and Jlnance would meet up first, then pick us up on the way down to Lumberton to pick up Rubberdown & U4euh.

Larry, As far as for a corner to lay your head, I though that Mike (Rubberdown) e-mailed Vegas and let him know we had 4-6 coming. That seems to still be true, so it should be no problem.

I was looking around to see if someone has the Bolt Saddlebags, and not waiting to see if they show up a couple days before we leave. Larry

Here's my correspondence to VegasBuller:

Mike,
I am sure we can make room for them! LOL I am going to get an official head count today, but we'll be fine. Like I said, as long as they have sleeping bags and a pillow there will be room. We found out today that Court will be here for the cookout so get your ears ready to listen to some good stories! We are working our asses off to get the house all ready. Man this is going to be fun!

See ya later,
Nick

O.k., let's get a somewhat final headcount and confirm with Vegas. He indicates, in his posts on the BadWeb, that he thinks he will have plenty of room and also has a spill over house lined up. Cool Dude!

U4euh -- Glad you're both in!! Jim Nance said that your wife could park her car at his house for that weekend. We'll work at the specifics as time get closer.

Whodom -- We have one member that is still working on March Badness. As soon as I have definite numbers then I will let everyone know what the cost is. If you will e-mail me at suareznc5@earthlink.net, I will forward directions and other cabin information.

The cost for each person will be between $60-65 for the cabin. I'll forward final figures later.

I think I might actually be more stoked about this trip than Carlos is!!!

Southern -- You are more than welcome to use the trailer. It is a motorcycle trailer with the capacity to hold 3 bikes. It is wired with lights. Carlos thinks its a 2" ball, but not sure. We have a class III receiver that you are welcome to borrow along with any tiedown straps you may need.

Carlos likes the idea of the trailer being in Daytona "just in case".

Ok, I am feeling the fear that a trip to Daytona isn't going to be near as good as March Badness. Looking at all the posts here and most are about MB and we havent even made Daytona...Maybe I am choosing the Wrong trip to go on, since I am not likely to be able to do both. Larry

Zxzer, a few points to consider:

Daytona
Good
- fellowship with Buell riders
- chance to see Buells in serious competition
- 150+HP XBRR's roaring by at 170+ MPH
- probably warm
- meet the legendary Court Canfield
Bad
- surrounded by 10k+ HD riders
- ~500 mile ride on I-95
- no TV coverage of March Badness

March Badness
Good - fellowship with fellow Buell riders
- chance to ride miles and miles of best twisties in GA
- chance to hang with Erik
- free test rides on every kind of Buell
- watch Daytona on Speed TV
Bad
- could be ~20 or 30 deg. F weather
- ~400 mile ride to Suches
- gravel in curves in winter

Whodom.....Let me respond to the bad.

-It will not be 20 to 30 deg. Way too cold for that time of year. The roads will be clear at that time of year. We will make sure of it even if I have to bring a broom. Last year Ga. Dot helped us out with sweeping off the road in some small spots.

-bon fires, beer and hooliganism in the evenings after the a good day of twisted fun.
