Hey Trip,

I work with one of your DHB acquaintances. Small world.

Ralphs is my favorite event I ride to each year, I am leaving Sunday morning to go to the hurricane area to work for a week. It will be a good sendoff for me.
I really love the shirts I get at Ralphs every time, my favorite ride wear.

Hi Lee, several of the original DHB's are out there at Garmin. See Bill Stone for instructions to Saturday nights pig roast.

I didn't realize Bill was a DHB. He seems so well-groomed. I was thinking of Steve Hoyle.

Dave,

Bill didn't know that the DHB thing was this weekend, but you will likely see him there. I also told him that you would be at the Ralph Wayne's and he sounded interested. I sent him the flyer and a link to a neat article I found about the event. Steve Hoyle sent him the flyer for the DHB thing. He asked me to pass one to you too, but it seems to me you know what you're doing. I also spoke with Doug. He will be attending an event for his daughter all day tomorrow, but told me to say, "Hello."

Calling all Wrenchers - Where (preferably in Lee's Summit) can I drop off used motor oil?

keith - you mentioned during the FBRAT ride about helping me loosen the tension on my drive belt. I requested Worth North to do it during my 5,000 service and they did not.

Does that offer still stand? Do you have the "official" tool to measure it? The service manual says not to do it by feel, or it'l end up too loose.

It was great to see the bunch of ya. It's great to see so many new active Buellisti taking over the city. I saw Keef pull in but didn't get to you before you disappeared into the crowd. Sorry I couldn't wait for Thunder and Bill to show up, but I'm in a tight schedule today. There's more beer waiting for me in Gardner and I had to unload my camera media so I can take more pictures tonight. So here's a look at THE BEST DAMN BIKE EVENT ON THE PLANET.

So much yellow, and the return of DasBuell!

The BobTail twins

It started out as a Monster. Every year it gets more, well, personalized.

Typical of the bikes in the parking area. Perfect GT500 Titan that looks like it was built yesterday.

The man has a big heart. 13 years in a row he opens his yard and feeds thousands of not so starving motorcyclists. Donations accepted.

Arrival of the Buells, and one Yamaha. Tube frames are going to be allowed inside the rope line for display next year.

I want it

Unfortuantely someone restored this Indian. Last year it was there in it's original patina. The new paint is not an improvement.

Vincent motored beast

and another

BSA's of many varieties were probably the most popular brand today.

The Norvin 1000. Vincent motor in a Norton featherbed frame. Tasty eh?

Partial view of the display tent.

Green is good.

The BMW chopper.

The man's jacket caught my eye. Another patch on his jacket stated "I'll forgive Jane Fonda when the Jews forgive Hitler"

Early Guzzi, probably carrying more paint than the factory intended.

Ridden in. Proper paint

This group rides in every year. From Nebraska I believe.

These things ride in, hundreds of old bikes. And I think I need to replace an S1???

I'm thinkin I need a BSA

Chrome tanks... why not bring em back?

Indian straight 4.... with a correct paint job

Antique motor (vincent), trellis frame, top notch brake and suspension components, a dash of carbon fiber. Should make for a fun ride. Sounds like something some nut named Buell would make. Except he would think that others would want to buy it and go into series production!

The guys riding partner was a real dog. His girlfriend was cute though.

Dusty, I read an article that said you can not get the belt so loose it slips, so I run it with a little play in it but not where it looks too loose. I have almost 30k on it and it is doing fine.by the way dave thanks for the all of the pictures and I wish I could have known I would have riden out on my old tube frame with you guys.

So, for the Renaissance Festival:

My choices are Saturday the 8th, Saturday the 15th.

Sunday the 9th I am elsewhere.

The last day, Sunday the 16th might be a madhouse, or a vacant lot.

Anyone who wants to go should chime in here and pick a date.

Of course, weather plays a part.
