Hey guys - It would be an honor to be welcomed
as the latest S2 enthusiast on this great
board. I have owned several other model Buells
in the past and have enjoyed each for it's own unique qualities. My other ride is a 2002 M2 - which has been a load of fun and I believe
will be for years to come.
I picked up the pictured 95 S2 at the
beginning of this year and intended to use it
as a ......brace yourself !!!!DONOR!!!!
for a pro-street sportster project. Well, since
then I have reconsidered and have now decided
to restore the bike to a street driver (and maybe occasional 1/4 miler). I enjoy reading the posts
on BadWeb and do believe that the S2 is a classic motorcycle that needs to remain in existence so lucky folks out there can continue to see these
fine handcrafted American motorcycles on the road - and even luckier folks (like us) can enjoy riding them!
Thanks for everything BadWebbers.

Wow, Nice Bike, love the paint. But the rear tire and bodywork don't line up! Can I ask what you paid for it? I want to pick up an older S2 next to keep my X1 company. Maybe a stripped one on ebay and put an 88" motor on it from Penny or Firemanjim. Den

Thanks Denfromphilly. The swingarm is extended 10" - that's why the fender does not line up. I am going to shorten it to probably somewhere in the 6 to 8 inch range to keep the drag race look but it's still gonna be out there a bit (compared to stock). 88" - I hear ya. That's what this one has in it. Fun!

That's actually more like 1988 and that's the front side of the flyer.

There was also a 3 page flip open book.

There are a couple of others around for less $$. And some for more. My favorite is the one in Vancouver, WA, non-runner, grandma's (?,!) boyfriend died and left it to her, $18K firm.

JT & FMJ,

If it makes you guys feel any better if I didn't cut it in half (nearly 10 years ago) it would have had to have been thrown away. I think FMJ will be able to figure out the rest of the story...

...I'm not sure that the RR series had the reliability of the S2's...however, there are few problems in the mechanical world that cannot be 'overcome' with the correct tools and skills.
