Hey guy's and ladies..... I bought the BUB BADDOGS for my Buell and they are pure CRAP!!!! The chrome is junk and the heat shields fly off and hit your leg at 60mph!!!! The Chrome peeled off after the first day of riding and the company said oh well the chrome wasnt covered by warranty even though they said it was when I bought it. AND THE WORST THING ABOUT THE EXHAUST IS THAT MY BIKE NOW SOUNDS LIKE MY LAWN MOWER!!! I'M BUYING SOMETHING ELSE, any suggestions?????? |

I would go D&D. Good power love the sound. Beefy pipe. Force is best for power though |

Has anybody else had experience with Bub pipes? Are they really this bad or was this the exception? How about the effect on performance? I've seen alot of Bubs on Harleys but not Buells. |

I haven't tried them myself, but I met a guy who put the Baddogs on his X1. He was looking for a 2-into-2 system and was quite happy with his, even though he admitted he lost some power. The sound is much closer to a Sportster since the pipes are uncollected, but I'd imagine there's a noticable power loss when eliminating the 2-into-1 setup. Mike L. '99 Cyclone (85rwhp) |

BUB pipes are notorious for chrome that rusts if you sneeze on it and paint that vaporizes in use. |

The chrome came off one of my Bub pipes when I biffed my S1W down the road on its side! With NORMAL riding I have no complaints. |

After running Bad Dogs most of the summer, I'd have to say the chrome on the headers is not the best. But, the Guard Dog heat shields cover them well and look good. The chrome on the muffler itself has held up well. I haven't had the bike dynoed, so I'm not sure about power. It seems to be on a par with the Vance and Hines slip on it replaced. I love the look and the sound. Just my two cents worth. |

Just purchased a 2000 Cyclone with Bub pipes. Any updates on performance/durability since the last post back in 2003? |
