Will the flyscreen from the Ulysses fit on a CityX? I am really digging it!

Check the knowledge vault--there is a copy of the S-1 manual .It should have specs and sequence. You do it in 3 steps, last one is done by marking bolt and turning 90 degrees for final torque.Need a 12 point socket.

My son, Jeremiah is back in the States after being in IRaq. He should get out of the Marines at the end of August! whoohoooooooooooooooo.

Fireman Jim. My S-2 is over at Vallejo...If you get a chance , go over and see it and make it feel welcome over there. It is lonely being so far from home. REX

Ryes2000, Jims makes a tool that will let you get that bolt out yourself (or help your machine shop do it better and more easily). It is like $70 or so. A good deal for what it can do.

Wife is going to get a couple of cases of Crystal light and a bunch of sour candy today.

Will attempt to get them mailed before we leave for Watkins Glen NASCAR race on Thursday.

Thanks Hotrod, by the way, I've probably missed it, but which NASCAR team?

Now on another note, maybe it's me, but looking at the bikes on Buell.com, and drooling wishing I could ride my own as well as own the 12X, but either the 12R is different from the other bikes in the 4th gear transmission ratio, or there is a typo.

Transmission Ratio
............12X.......12R
1st.....2.648.....2.648
2nd.....1.892.....1.892
3rd.....1.407.....1.407
4th.....1.166.....1.666
5th .........1..........1

Honestly, I could care less, just love riding. : )

I am taking my Mom-in-law(the creator of Wes) to New York City in November. What does anyone think the chances of getting good seats to a popular show would be? Slim to none? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I really want her to have a good time. She has been awful lonely since my Pop-in-law(co-creator of Wes) died accidently in March.

My questions are as follows:
Great place to stay?
Great shows? (and dresscodes therefore)
Tours?
Sights to see?
Restaurants?
Transportation requirements?...we aren't to opposed walking.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Karin & I just did that last January. This is what we did and it worked out great:
Holiday Inn Midtown http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/NYCUP?& was within a nice stroll from the theaters. We've also stayed at the Woodward (now re-named The Majestic http://www.all-ny.com/hotels/majestic_descr.html.
We saw Mamma Mia (excellent!)
The Empire State Building, of course.
Court will weigh in, I'm sure!

Pammy; have either of you been to Gotham before? That'd affect the itinerary suggestions.

Circle Line tours around Manhattan are enjoyable. A walk across Brooklyn Bridge is a great experience as well. While on the Brooklyn side you should visit Jacques Torres chocolate factory; great stuff. While in that neighborhood, swing by the ice cream place in the clock tower by the water bus (I'll dig up the info if you want), as well as a great NY style pizza place just up the street. All within 10 minutes of walking from where Brooklyn Bridge hits Brooklyn.

Chelsea is of course always worth a walk around for the people watching.

The Staten Island Ferry is a cheap (free ; )) way of getting a different look at the Manhattan skyline as well as Lady Liberty. While in that area of Manhattan, the Wall Street area and the Battery Park is a nice walk.

Empire State Building as mentioned is worth it if the weather cooperates - great view. Especially of the Chrysler Building, which is one of my favorites.

Of course Midtown has all the touristy stuff, but it has NY Public Library as well, which is worth it for the architecture and the interior.

Museums: MOMA and the Met are cool. Don't plan on doing the entire Met. Just pick a section or topic - it's just too big to take all of it in.

Don't know anything about accommodations.

I liked Phantom and Cats. Beauty & the Beast was ok as well if you're into that kinda stuff. I've heard very good things about Spamalot and am going myself in January (the earliest for decent seats). The Ticket office in Times Square often has good tickets for less $$ but it's a first-come-first serve operation, and you'll have to stand in line for awhile before getting to the counter and finding out what's available.

everyone from toddlers to grannies love Blue Man Group!

first time I saw it, I thought they MUST be Badwebebrs . . . .

while I LOVED Stomp, I'm not so sure I'd take my Mom-in-law to see it -- a little outside her comfort Zone, but you know your's and her tastes -- it great high-energy fun, amazing skill, but not, er subtle, if you take my meaning

I think Spamalot would be right up my alley, but she has a more refined sense of humor. This trip is for her. (If it works out well, maybe I can get Wes away from his flow bench long enough to go again.)She(we have) has had a very bad year. I like to give her fun stuff to look forward to, but I don't like to torture myself along the way and I need a break from the casino's!

I appreciate all the suggestions. I have printed a lot of info out from the links posted and will make a little vacation notebook for her. Planning is what she likes to do best. You guys are the greatest.

Thanks

I printed out the brochure for Wicked. I would like to get her some kick buttocks seats. I appreciate all the help.

I have to get the timing down to the exact day and then order tickets. Possibly in a couple of days. A bit of logistics go into prying me outta command central here. Aaah, job security...

Pammy: I've given this advice repeatedly, but never before to you:

DO NOT, under any circumstances, let Court pick the restaurant!

Stick with that, and you'll have a great time in NYC. I had a ball on my last trip just wandering around Manhattan. It's an amazing place--and that's high praise coming from a guy who rarely ventures north of I-10!

Pammy - I was in NYC with my daughter last spring. We took one of those short helicopter tours of the city. It was my first helicopter ride, and I thought it was pretty cool. If you go up the empire state building, the people who run the tour of that also do the helicopters, so they can hook you up.
