I did some searching and didn't find any pics of an XB engine rotated out so you can access the heads. Anyone have some pics of it, and how long did it take you to get that far. I'm just about done reading the manual, or all the parts of it that you have to go through to get there, and it looks rather involved. I put a dent in the exhaust header, and want to pull the header of and have it chromed or painted, and the dent pulled out. Just wondering what I'm getting into. |

Well, You don't need to unplug all the wires that they recommend... Just lower it slowly and keep an eye on them and disconnect the ones that get tight. You will need to loosen the coil or it will get pinched in between the engine and frame. It's a pretty easy job but is time consuming. I swapped my header for a Force header in about five hours. I'm sure it will only take about three the next time I do it. You don't need to remove the clutch cable either. Just loosen it at the front adjustment and slide it around the primary cover as you lower the engine. This will give you just enough room to get a torque wrench straight on the rear header bolts. Do a search for "Force Install Finished" or something like that from a while back . |

Save yourself some money, time and frustration and wrap your headers!
