I know there is an area for comments on dealers in KV, but I wanted to post this where I think people are more likely to see it. Anyone who is familiar with V-Rod drag racing has probably heard of Dan Bell and Eagle Harley of Lafayette, Indiana. They have an impressive list of V-Rod customers and drag race bikes. I bought my XB9R from Dans son Dale, last month. I have to say that my experience with them has been FANTASTIC. I've been treated great every time I've been there. I just had my 1000 mile service done there today. Brian, the service manager, pulled out the stops to make sure that my bike was done, made me feel very welcome, answered all my questions, and did it all with a smile. Its a great place and I highly recommend them to anyone. Dale walked me around through the machining area and the race shop and showed me the drag bikes. You Thumpers out there might be interested to know that they are rebuilding a Blast as a doppleganger of a V-Rod. Not only that, but its going to be 1000cc! In a single cylinder! I cant wait to see it when its done. Its thier "pit bike" that they use to get around when they are at the races. The only down side is that their clothing selection is on the thin side, and they have no accessories, although Dale has been great about getting stuff ordered for me when I've asked for it. Keep the faith folks, there are good dealers out there. We've just got to keep plugging away as a group and let them know that we arent going away. (Message edited by Indy_Bueller on May 08, 2005) |
