I'm planning on being there around noon. I was thinking about riding since it's only about 10 blocks. I just checked the weather.com forecast: high of 25 with 50% chance of snow. Might have to leave the bike at home. |

On TV Barnes was on a Buell (according to my boss). Barnes races both Buells and Yamaha, so hopefully this is a TYPO. Nils |

Well, you have to admit that when you are a racer in search of a ride, you need to promote yourself. |

im just watching the tape i made of the racing on saturday. I think SPEED had their interns working on this one. after the Barnes mistake on thursday i didnt think it could get much worse. but it did, GW interviewd barnes on the grid and he was on a yammy but the graphic said suzuki. there were so many errors with graphics and camera shots i dont know where to begin. the production quality of the coverage was pretty good if youre a local cable access crew, i would expect much more from a network owned by Fox, or maybe not. they must have had all their paid employees in vegas for the Cup races. i guess i shouldnt bitch, its better than nothing. BTW how was the crowd at the Bulldog, i heard something about them giving you guys about the sound. did Jerry call and regulate? |

We got them to change the screens in the lower room to the races but the bartender wouldn't turn up the sound. Said he go a serious shewing out by the owner a while back for turning up the sound for a NASCAR race. He was really gun shy about doing it again. Even the kitchen crew knew about us coming and said it was OK to turn up the sound. He still wouldn't do it though. Neat place though, lots of good beers available. They even had Bells Beer (Kalamazo MI) Two Hearted Ale on tap! Brad |

Hey Eric, How can you own the corners sitting in traffic on 36? Was it cold this morning? Nils |

Not cold at all this AM! I didn't even wear the aerostich pants and wasn't chilly at all. I got to ride over lunch also, very nice. I totally own that corner from 35W to 36 every evening, though sometimes I have to walk the bike through it. Actually, a quick check to here before leaving work decides if backroads should be taken. Say, what's the plan for the April 5 BRAG meeting anyway? |

The Bulldog works for me for the Brag meeting. Hopefully I can make it to first Thursday. I had to pull my front rocker box tonight. It was leaking oil! After I got the rocker box off I thought to myself that this would be a great time to switch to the XB covers. I am going to head over to St. Paul after work tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll have everything in stock or can get it soon! |

Bulldog works for me also. Kind of a neat place. Good food! John, the RB swap is very easy. I have the complete parts list somewhere if you need it. It includes gaskets, button head bolts, etc. Don't forget you need to close up the holes on the stock air box and stuff. I don't remember if you have the stock box or not. |

Brad, I found the parts list in the KV. I forgot about the hole in the air box. I think there is only 1 hole where the rear breather tube comes through. Maybe duct tape will work? The front breather hole will just be plugged up with the button head bolt. |

John, Duct tape isn't a good idea as fuel will soften it and turn it to goo. I've used a cap plug type plug along with silicon sealer. The type I'm thinking of is the crome plated type you put in the end of a pipe or chair leg. Put it in from the outside then bend the tabs over. Sell the whole thing inside and out with silicon. I've also seen a piece of plastic bonded to the outside of the air box. I'd be reluctant to put anything on the inside in case it shook loose. Brad |

Bulldog it is for next Tuesday. 6:30 or 7? I need help on Saturday April 30th for our open house. Any volunteers to sit at a BRAG Table? Let me know. I am going to try and make Thursday, I have not picked out my new ride yet and the Guzzi is still sleeping under its cover. Nils |

Well, I just got back from St. Paul (I didn't go yesterday) and guess what? They didn't have any of the parts in stock! Actually, I kind of expected that. Why would an XB owner have to replace any of those parts? They gave me the old 7-10 days story. Sometimes they say that and the parts are in sooner. I'm not doing anything about it for a couple of days. If the weather turns nice this weekend I might just put it back together and ride it! Once the parts come in it's no big deal to take those top covers off. I would say 6:30 to 7:00 at the Bulldog with the official meeting starting at 7:00. |
