Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
~ 1800 miles, died in mid-ride (7 times) on the way home from rally in Ruidoso, NM. I took the bike to the dealership (died once on the way), the kept it for 14 days, put 60 miles on it and found nothing. Now the bike has ~ 2200 miles, the hard way...it dies at the most inopportune times (in traffic, on backroads). There doesn't seem to be any common underlying factor (altitude, weather, RPMs, etc) the thing just dies. It restarts without any problem and usually with no delay. At one point I thought it was vapor lock, but it usually just starts right back up. One other oddity...the speedo sometimes "sticks" and won't read above 20mph. She's back at the dealership now. I just want to ride, you know? Any ideas?

Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
Love the naked streetfighters! This is my first bike, but next year I am upgrading to a Lightning XB900CX
|
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
I really like the Lightning 1200's but they're too tall for me. Is there a way to shorten them for a 5'9" female?
