Must have been too dark. Jack is usually shooting photos of bikes, with people riding in and out of the parking lot. REX |

So i took the Blast out for a ride on Jan 27, 40 degrees and sunny that day in central Maine. If i get a ride in in Feb that will be a year straight that i rode at least once a month, pray for a least one good day! Left the new Firebolt in the garage to rest for her big trip to bikeweek in Daytona Beach in a few short weeks! |

I am in Fort Wayne tonight, The ISP was supposed to be messing things up at the garage I am going to tomorrow but they chickened out due to the winter weather warnings so they are staying in Indy where they belong. Winter sucks, but now the wait for warmer weather is soo much more tolerable. Summer is coming, summer is coming! I am going to Anna Maria, FL next week, I'm not even excited about that. I shoveled the driveway twice this week and actually enjoyed it, some strange sense of pride came over me while shoveling(maybe it was a stroke?). Big Bobby(my basement roommate) broke his leg snowmobiling Sunday, he was so hopped up on pain meds he didn't even know what city he was in for two days, it was a bad break, its going to take two surgeries to fix it. His Kanatuna is sitting in my garage staying warm till he gets walking again. When the weather gets right I will move the snow blower to the back of the garage and the bikes to the front. |

Yes, are you ISP? On a Waaay cooler note..... What happens when you add the following ingredients to a 7 year old?
Can it be considered child abuse? Then my Waaaay cool Italian girlfriend bought me another motorcycle today, yep you guessed it, a Ducati Monster.....she's the greatest!

Yeah, well it needs a battery, so I call up the Big Kid, and tell him Trish bought it for me for my birthday, so I ask him for a battery for a Ducati Monster, he starts with "Let me look up, uh, Yuasa..." I razzed him Yuasa doesn't make a battery, thats just an excuse to go to the bike shop and waste money and spend time spilling acid all over your clothes, why don't you guys get a real battery to sell. Hes still looking up a battery for it...LOL |

how is everybody, I got a little riding in today. New cams must be working great. I went approx. 200 miles no problems. I do however have a new question does anybody have a green blast aside from the John Deere dirt/show bike? I've been thinking a deep dark emerald green would look good with little metal flake in it, however not so sure on how to go about making it so. Any thoughts? (kinda thinking vinyl wrapped plastics) I don't think painting the plastics is the way to go. Any advise always much appreciated. |

Why the fear of painting plastic? Just about every car made in the last 20 years has painted plastic bumpers. Many are made of the exact same material as the Blast bodywork. Talk to your local body shop supply guys, they can get you the correct material and you can get whatever flake you want. Jump in, it can always be repainted. Learn a new skill, it's winter time! I saw something very unexpected yesterday. I was working the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center booth at the international motorcycle show in MPLS. As I cut through the Harley display, I slowed down to check out the new bikes and did a double take at the bike that was prominently positioned dead center of their display area. A little yellow Blast. Actually it didn't say blast anywhere on it. Just "Buell" on the sides of the tank. It was one of those "I wish I had my camera" moments. |

Why would anyone want to buy an American made entry level motorcycle that is cheap to insure & run in THIS economy? Clearly the marketing director in the Twin Cities is out of touch.... |

Man, the thought of that poor blast. Being paraded around by a bunch of a-holes like that. Someone's gotta spring her. |
