Hi people ! I'm new to the Buell world. I'm a long-time Guzzi Le Mans fan since I was a kid in NZ and sold everything I owned (and nearly my Soul...) to grind my boots to shreds on one. Since then I've been working on and around racing bikes for the last 23 years, eventually ending up in the South of France, where I'm working on the Macadam Moto XBRR ridden by Michel Amalric, and wrenching on "special projects" for Gilbert, boss of this big Buell dealership in this region blessed with some of the best Buell-friendly roads outside of Paradise....  I'm delighted by the Buell's, and the "shake, rattle 'n' roll" of a living, breathing engine in a nimble chassis is just a hoot ! Cool. | ||

I've decided to buy a Buell. I've been riding a 1981 BMW R80 G/S for the last 11 years and it's time to break into 21st technology. I've test drove the Ulysses twice and that's it, I'm getting one. Now I'm just hanging on to see what the 2008 news will be, hopefully find out by this Sunday. I'm ready to roll now but with rumors of changes might as well wait a week and see what's real for 08. Just discovered badweatherbikes while obsessively researching Buells recently and appreciate finding what a lot of you have contributed here.. helps me know what I'm getting into.. onto. | ||

Well, I'm about to pull the trigger on a Uly. Had a GS1150, a V-Strom1000, and now a DR650 for tooling around back roads and riding with new rider girlfriend on her XT225. I miss the power and weather protection of the other bikes and test rode the Uly the other day and I'm still grinning. Thanks for all the useful info on this site. I'm going to see if '08 has any new farkles and either get that or a discounted '07 which is great as it is. | ||
