Greetings! Thanks to the contributors for the good background info I've been able to pick up here.

This week I picked up a XB12Ss - the first after 20 years from biking. Looking forward to the ride!

Hello,

Just found about Badweb yesterday. Looks like an awesome site and I'm sure I'll be spending hours on it catching up.

I just bought a 2000 X1 in November after losing my Road King in a house fire. I found out the hard way that homeowners doesn't cover your MC or car in a fire. Anyway that is another story in of itself!

The main reason joining this site was to give a public shout out to the company American Sport Bike.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the owners Al & Jo Ann when I stopped by their store in Vista CA. I went there to shop for some handlebars and came away impressed with their sincere hospitality to a complete stranger.

Al took time out of his very busy work day to make adjustments on my X1 that he saw while giving my bike a once over. Al then opened up his shop to me and let me swap out the handle bars using his tools. He then spent over an hour trouble shooting a brake light issue that arose while changing over to a clear lens. And last but not least he checked all of my engine/FI settings with the software he had hooked up to his latop.

This all was going on while the phone was ringing off the hook at times (good for business I guess) and that he was dealing with some low back pain issues. I just can't tell you how impressed I was that he did all of these things without being asked or paid for his time.

I'm sure most of the members of Badweb have heard about or visited their web site but I can say without hesitation that he earned a loyal customer for life!

Thanx for reading! Now get back to work!! : )

I to have nothing but good to say about Al at American Sport Bike. He's treated me very well over the past three transactions. As for this site, I think you'll find out the same thing I did. These folks are some of the best there is in the world. Everyone is friendly and easy to coerce into giving advice. They do tend to "pull your leg " abit. But its all in good spirit. Check out Court. He's an amazing good spirit that I feel defines us as Americans. (read about 9/11) Post anywhere you like but find the locals so you can meet and ride with them. Have fun, be safe.........A fellow Buellnut.

Hi all from North West Australia where we have the opposite weather of better than 45 Degrees celcius at this time of year.
Only have a small dirt bike at the moment but previously owned a Ducati Monster and look forward to getting my hands on a nice X1 or XB12Ss if the minister for finance will allow.

Hi. I'm over here in the UK and ride an XB12R. Looking for some advise on a failed cooling fan. It decided to make an odd noise at the weekend and not kick in again. Unfortunately don't have a workshop manual so need some advice?

Hello all! I am not yet a Buell owner but I did ride my dream bike this past weekend, a XB12S, and it was great. This seems to be a great place to find out information about Buells. I really want to try our an XB12Ss but my local dealer don't have one right now. Can anyone comment on how they feel about the differences in an X1 (2002) and an XB12S (2004)? Thanks...}

Hi,
New to this forum, member of V-Rod Forum and Corvette Forum. Just added a 2000 X-1 lightning to the list of toys today. It has a BUB exhaust which is too loud. I will be looking for a stock exhaust. I ended up with the bike from a guy that needed money.
Other toys: 2002 HD Ultra, 2003 V-Rod, 2002 Ninja 250, 2006 Corvette C-6

I am new to BadWeb, but will get up to speed asap! I have taken the challenge from my boss at Buell of Bloomington, Indiana to rebuild the brand from a few years of neglect. First off, I was not an HD fan (asian fan for years), but after a year of looking at the Buells on the showroom and liking the naked-look more and more, Buells have grown on me. SO, I am here for the fun, the knowledge that you have and to improve my lot in life with Buells all around me. I don't have a Buell of my own yet, but, oh those demos! I hope to bring something to the table in the future!

Cookie, All you gotta do is some research on the tuber side of knowledge. They have alot of things you should know. You can also ask questions there too. If you dont find help, I'd be surprised. Good luck.

Welcome all! Badweb is set up to be wonderfully useful. There are sections for specific information as well as those for specific bikes. Check them all out as there is a ton of good info. Buell's offer a fantastic ownership experience, you won't have to look around too much to agree! NUTS

Long time listener, first time caller.

I've been riding for about 7 years now, starting on a Honda xr200 when I was 14. I bought my first street bike when I was 18, a 2005 Harley 1200c sportster, which I rode until I saw the 2007 XB12R my local dealership had on the floor. My reaction was immediate; I had to have it.

I took delivery on Jan 3rd of this year, and have done nothing but drool over the awesome machine that has taken the place of the Sportster in my garage.
With only a couple weeks left until the sandy Minnesota roads are clear enough to take her out, I feel like a child laying awake on Christmas eve, waiting in excitement to see the goodies that Santa has left beneath the tree...

Cocked, locked, and ready to rock. Now all I can do.. is wait.
