Hi everyone. My name is Paul, I'm new to BadWeb. But not to Buell's. I just got back from Long Island where i purchased a 2001 X1 off of ebay. By the looks of my new Buell and i say new because the original owner only put 4300 miles on it in 3 years and the edge of the tires never saw the pavement in fact there was a 1" inch wide area on the tires that still looked new. I hope that is a sign the guy babied it and not drag raced it. Hopefully he babied it. I'll go out on a limb and say by the looks of him he babied it which makes me very happy.: ) Best part is it looks like it just came off the show room floor. (Pics to come) I've put 200 miles on it this week and love it so much more than my '98 S1 I had. Do not want to go on and bore you so i will end this by asking if there are any Buell riders in upstate NY who love to ride drop me a line.

I'm Jimmy, just heard about this site from Miss Behaving;great site.I have a orange,2000 x-1,with 33,000 miles;it just blew out the back plug, blew out the front one at 25,000,weird hah!I hope to upgrade to some branch heads,so I J-B welded them back in.Also I don't seem to be able to keep exhast on it,replaced one header and 2 vance and hines mufflers, right now I have half a V&H muffler clamped to the header;no muffler clamp.Force winder intake. Not the fastest bike in the world, but that 4000 rpm burble is like no other sound in the world!

Hi all, long time Buell fan, never owned one. Right now I ride one everytime I can, which is when customers come into the dealership for a demo ride. They usually want to take one out, but when I talk them into another one(for comparison's sake) I get to take out both.

I've ridden mostly the xb platform, some blasts, but the one I'm in love with is an'02X1W in the showroom for more money than they'll let me finance, lol. I do love the Xb's tho, dont get me wrong. A beautiful machine in all of its different forms, and so awesome goin down the road. Anyway, the real reason I'm here is to hopefully gain some info about one of my Riders Edge bikes, the P3. For another section tho. Seeya later

just signed on after 2 years of viewing and grasping info and insight into the passion of Buell.purchased Xb12Scg in feb 05 and currently have 8700 miles on the odo.it's my first bike and the one I learned how to ride on after completing the riders edge class-maybe much for a rookie, but my thirst for torque is unrelenting in everything I drive/ride!
south florida may lack the twisties to truly realize the potential of Buell, but the weather and the scenery do make up for some of it.
I'll be spending time on stormfronts section for south florida rides-catch me there mostly
Court,I had the priveledge to meet with The Hammer @ daytona, and he requested that I say hi if I ever signed on-here I am;and hello

howdy. I'm Jason from WAY-north Georgia. I am an MMI grad, but never had enough money to buy a bike of my own, until I last september when I got my blast.

I need to do some work on it, which I am more than confident about, but I would like some help finding discount parts. I graduated in '03 in the top 10% of the class with cert. in Buell XB (and V-Rod) so I am excited about digging into the bike and putting it back into shape.

Hi all!

Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden. Buell is not very common here so it's nice to have this place to get ideas and information from. I just bought a XB12R -04. I'm looking for online stores for cool parts (pro-series polished muffler etc), any ideas?

Excuse the spelling

Hey, I'm Laurence from Cape Town, South Africa, with a 2005 XB12s. Black with race kit and 5500mi since Sept. Cape Town's a great place to ride a Buell but there are still only about 10 here and local HD dealer is not a Buell dealer! Lots of winding roads along the coastline and plenty mountain passes inland! Loads of Buells (over 60 now) in Johannesburg (1000mi away) where the roads are much less Buellish but the dealership is there. Anyway, what an awesome ride this is! Isn't it great to be a Buelligan!

Hi I'm new to the buell scene. I just bought a 2006 firebolt 12R. I'm looking for people to ride with in Phoenix. This worldwide forum is a great idea too. I'm 40, married (my wife likes to ride too),and I'm a radiation therapist. I have only ridden honda sportbikes; and I haven't ridden for 10 years. This XB12R is sweeeeet!!

Infineon didn't quite go to plan;
Hi to all you all out there who've come over and shown support at Daytona and then Infineon, and thanks to all who've left messages wishing us well in our -not as yet-successful outings in those events. It hasn't been thru lack of effort but luck just hasn't been on our side yet. No excuses for the last one in Infineon but I gave myself alot of work to do with poor qualifying and lack of track time, then we had a minor electrical failure. The track's great, technical and hard work but although a top six was achievable that would've been about it.. Well done to the Vallejo team, I'll hopefully be back soon to try again, not sure when as yet.. Cheers-Jez McWill..

What is it they say, "third time is the charm"?

With your exemplary professionalism, fitness, determination and of course world class big balls of brass motorcycle racing skills, good results are sure to come.

Very kind of you to pop in and say hello to our little community here. Hope to be able to cheer for your success in AMA FX again real soon, the sooner the better. You did garner significant airtime in the television coverage of the race on Speed TV. Unfortunately it ended with a nice close-in shot of you one-legging the bike along the side of the track. God bless you and good luck!

If we can do anything to help get you back over the pond for some more development and FX racing on the Buell, please let me/us know.

Blake

I'll second those sentiments! Great to see a world-class racer fielding a Buell. It'll just keep getting better and better as the engineers work out the bugs. Hope to see you on the track again soon.
Cheers,

I found a bike i love for its usable power and that handles like a dream. I picked up my 04 XB9R firebolt from Stone mountain HD in Lilburn, GA and I look forward to riding, meeting, and hangin out with everyone. Thanks.

Hello everyone, I'm new to riding but was immediately hooked on Buell after the first time I sat on one. The growl of the engine and weight distribution just felt right. I went out and bought a 2003 XB9S with 1050cc race kit. 6,500 miles on it when I got it. The guy that sold it to me told me great things about this site and he was absolutely correct. This forum has great tech tips and ideas. I'm proud to be a US Soldier and part of the Buell family.

Hey All,

I have been riding for about 35 years, still have my first Sportster, a 72 XLCH and three other Harleys. I bought a 99 X1 for a great price and thought that I would clean it up, do some minor repairs and then sell it for a profit. Well after riding it (You sure this is a Harley?) and then spending two days cleaning and polishing I think that this one is a keeper. I can't walk past the garage door without taking a peak at it sitting on my lift all clean and shiny. Can't wait to get a new rear shock and get it tagged. I haven't been this excited about a bike in quite awhile. Any recommendations on rear shocks? I am thinking of going with the stock Showa. Are they rebuildable?
Thanks, looking forward to some FUN riding.

Guy W.

I was featured in a profile in a publication called P.S magazine a few years ago. It's about what you interests are and mine are bikes of course. They do a drawing of everyone for that section. Looks better than the real thing so I always use it.

Hello all. I have this 95 Buell S2. I fell inlove with its handeling almost immediatly. Was wondering if the newer Buell 2006 firebolt 12R would be better or worse in handeling. Anyone out there have the hpleasure in comparing the two?

I am seriously researching the Ulysses as my second bike. Thought I would peruse the boards for information. Judging from what I have seen so far, the Buell is a no-brainer. ;- )

Hi everyone. I am a new rider (XB9S) and my husband is teaching me how to not kill myself. Yesterday I went on the road for the first time to the store and back. Woohoo a whole 2 miles of road. Yep it is stupid but I was so terrified that I almost did not do it. I have ridden 5 times total and dropped my bike twice. Yep, we have ordered extra brake handles and foot pegs because I sure like breaking those. Can I get a discount on these parts? HEHEHE! I seem to like the security of the parking lots. What is so funny is we went to the Summit Point races on Memorial Day weekend and I found my passion. I WANT TO OWN THE CORNERS! So next spring I plan to take the classes with my husband, Rasmonis. I am having the most amazing time of my life learning all about the bikes, road, and facing my fears. I just wanted to say thanks to Rasmonis and all of his friends for accepting me and being so willing to answer all of my questions. I have really enjoyed meeting everyone!
