Any of the sponsoring dealers here can fix you up with the owners manual or parts manuals pronto. Buell has, as you may have already seen, some awesomely detailed manuals.

With regard to the B.R.A.G. membership, I'd suggest you sign up. B.R.A.G., at the very least, provides some neat publications and benefits. In addition, they are doing a better job with each passing day with regards to events and such. My personal opinion, is I'd sure sign up!

Welcome to both of you,
Court Canfield

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. If any of you are Buell riders in the Central Missouri area, let me know!! Also, I am looking to customize my XB12s with some nice polished pieces.....anyone know of good links to search for parts? I know of americansportbike.com, but didn't know if there were any others. Best of luck, and be safe during this years riding season!!!!

Hi everyone,
Been a lurker here but now that I have a Uly felt like I might have something to add to the group so I signed up. Live in Angier, NC. Been riding HD's since '92 and can't wait to put some miles on the Buell. Thanks everyone for your posts, it made the decision to purchase a first year Uly easier. Tim Isaacs

Tim -- welcome! Looks like you are in our neck of the woods. My husband (M2nc) bought the orange Uly that Shelton's had back in October. You can find other NC Buell riders under Storm Fronts, Carolina Corner Carvers (C3). There is a local BRAG club sponsored by Shelton's HD/Goldsboro. Would love to have you join us. Drop us a line at suareznc5@earthlink.net if you're interested in some local riding with other Buells and/or joining the BRAG club.

Hi All,

I'm picking up my 2006 XB12Ss tomorrow, here in sunny Sydney!

I've owned a few bikes and been on a few forums. This place seems friendly.

More news after a ride...

Glad to find you folks. I have a '99 Cyclone mostly stock - chin fairing, tach kit, V&H exhaust, S&S carb, updated shift linkage, carbon fiber fender and chopped rear, Corbin seat. I put the 35,000 miles on it myself with a lot of trip miles. Been from Indiana to Florida several times, to the Atlantic a couple of times, once to California. Really love the bike, but bad weather riding is no fun so have An Aprilia Futura which now gets most of the long highway miles. Get favorable comments at every gas stop (at least from non-Harley riders who regard the bike with some suspicion) and don't understand why they don't sell better. Oh well, ride on

Hi; I'm nineteen, been riding since I was 16. Started off with a '01 Blast, but this past summer I upgraded to a '98 S1. A very customized S1. I'm planning on entering her into the bike show at the MDA ride for life in May. My Dad's a salesman for an HD dealership and had a hold on a '06 Firebolt (blue) but then I got the S1. A stunt group named the Pyscho Gang purchased not only the Firebolt I was holding but 2 others also.

About Buells not selling to hot. That's about to change, starting with Cycle World's positive articles about the XB12X the sales have steadily climbed. My Father has sold 3 this week alone and another salesman has sold 1 as well. If the positive press keeps up there might be more of us Buell guys (and gals) out there. About time too, I'm sick of people telling me that my bike's trash.

Josh:

Don't worry. . . to those of us who remember the year Buell sold 3 bikes and there were 6 of us Buell owners in the country, times seem great.

Buells are selling fabulously in most places, particularly overseas. Sportster owners and BMW owners are quickly discovering Buells as well. Few Ulysses owners have ever ridden a Buell or Harley-Davidson product before.

Anyone who tells you your bike is trash is quite mistaken. The Buell is a gifted piece of engineering.

Welcome aboard. . .

Thanks Court,
Actually I have a funny anecdote about the XB12X. There was a hardcore bagger type working at the HD Dealership and he bought a Ulysses and hasn't been seen on his bagger since. Make's you wonder doesn't.
The local hog chapter here does a raffle of sorts everday of April. The last day the prize is either a 1200 Sporty, a XB9R or $8000. My Father's plan (if he wins) is to get the sporty and trade it in and get a Ulysses.

: )

Doesn't make me wonder a bit. . . I'd predcited that most (>50%) of Uly purchases would be new to ACAVT's. (Air Cooled American V-Twin)

This is not the first "dresser to Uly" I've seen and BMW folks have arrived in flocks.

Better yet is the luggage....I've got a dinner bet on the luggage penetration. What % of Uly owners would you predict ante up for the great luggage?

Welcome. . . we're glad to have you here.

Hi All,
Picked up a dusty piece of stock 2004 XB-12s Don't want to get into old stories, but this little scooter brings back memories of a street use converted 57-K. Needs a little tweaking to get the air and gas mixed a little better. How about some good directions to maintenance supply houses?
