Tom: Welcome aboard and that's a gorgeous color combination. We'll assign Brad (BluzM2) as your Buell MN Mentor. The moment he completes your Buell indoctrination, you'll be eligible to do all sorts of things like buy tons of parts, make interesting mods and be seen in the company of really interesting folks. Got it! I got my new CityX today. First day of riding outside of the MFS class. I did 96 miles and managed to get my first experience on gravel and dirt (bad detours) I love this bike! I thought I'd only get a few miles in around the neighborhood, but it just felt so great. |

Hello to all; I am a nurse and mother of four whom loves ice hockey, minor ledge baseball, camping and drag racing. I sold my 1996 supercharged mustang GT that I lived either at the strip or at a carshow with and bought a 2005 P3 Blast after my husband dared me. Now; nine months and 200 miles later I am in love and cant wait to trade up and hit the track. I am starting a group "Girls Go Two" to show that its not just for guys and that you can ride and still be a lady, have your nails done, and look cute as hell. Act and look like a lady, work like a dog, and screw like a . |

The Brew City B.R.A.G. group is "significantly female". That being said we're pleased to have you and welcome aboard. Court |

Hi, since I ride a Blast to work I guess I'm merely a naughty weather biker. My husband reads your site frequently and I thought I'd take a look. (He rides a Lightning, so he's fully bad.) I also have two other bikes, but that's too many. The Blast is so practical I expect one of the others has to go. I'd like to find something in between the Blast and the Lightning. Any suggestions? |

Put 10,000 miles on the blast, and you won't want something in between, you will want the lightning (9s or 9sx). And it will serve you well. |

i have to say, i love the sound, looks and power of these here bikes. they are tough, raw looking and sexy. someone told me that us girls love the vibrations. which is why i would like to ride one. however, i still can not understand the younger generation - my 13 year old son calls Buell a "fart buggy".

Hello everyone. Newbie here...I just purchased a 2001 Buell x1 lightning from my local HD shop..It has the Race set up already installed. Still trying to figure out if this is a good thing or not. It runs fine and looks fantastic...I have always liked the looks of a buell. I found this one so I wanted to give them a try. I have raced offroad and ridden sport bikes on the street. Mainly KTM's, Gsx'r, ZX-9 etc..My x1 so far sounds and handles great..I get plenty of looks from other riders.. I really like the sound. I am already driving my wife crazy with it. I just like to hear it rumble. Guy's I am sure I will have tons of questions concerning my new toy. So please look for me on the following pages. Finally, anyone who lives around the Canton , GA area and wants to ride, give me a call. See ya on the roads. |

Finally checking in after lurking here for a good six months. Had been thinking about buying a bike for some time now, but between my Harley riding buddy and guys down at work who thought I should get a Jap sport bike it took a lot of looking and thinking. No matter what bike I thought I had convinced myself on buying, I kept coming back to the Buell. I made it down to Glendale Ca. for the Demo Days last month, and after meeting Ernie and taking a test ride my mind was made up. I bought a 05 XB12R Firebolt and couldn't be happier. The guys that own the sport bikes at work still just shrug their shoulders at me, but everyone else and the people I meet at the gas stations all compliment me on the cool looking motorcycle. Race kit installed, 700 miles on it, I'm ready to roll! -Brett |

Welcome Bert! What Blake said, getting the suspension dialed in makes all the difference in how you & the Firebolt get along. Anytime you are over here in the central valley give me a shout. There are some good multi-day rides coming up if you are interested. |

Nope, I haven't even touched the suspension on this bike yet. It seems a little harsh to me when I am riding but I really have no idea where the settings are at now. I will definitely check it out real soon. I'm still trying to get over my motocross steering mentality when I go around corners but it's getting there. A guy at work wants me to go with him to Willow Springs in a couple weeks. I told him probably not, but I'm still thinking about it. Bear - I hope to meet fellow Buellers and hear all the stories so I am open to that. It is amazing in the short time I have owned my bike how many Buells I have seen in my city of Santa Maria. The only bad thing is that the local Harley dealer dropped Buell as of last month, so we shall see what I do for service in the future. - Brett |

Hey All, I've been browsing this site for months now. I'm debating between a Blast or CityX. Of course I'd prefer the 9sx, but the Blast is much cheaper. Anyone have any experience commuting long distance on these? I drive 50 miles one way to work, over the Cuesta Grade in the Central Coast of CA. Also, I heard a nasty rumor about the Santa Maria, CA Harley dealer discontinuing the Buell line. Anyone have confirmation of that? And does anyone know if Harley is committed to the Buell brand for the long haul, or any chance of it being dropped in the near future? Thanks! Love the site and all your great stories, pictures, discussions! And of course, I LOVE the Buell style, sound, and technology. I went by a local JapCrap dealer the other day, and couldn't find a single bike that appealed to me after checking out the Buell lineup. |

MattL - Yeah, the Buell signs are already gone from the outside of the building. They still have a few Blasts and a couple of CityX's and some Lightnings as of last week. I bought the last Firebolt (still in the crate) from them three weeks ago. A story I heard was that if they cannot sell off all 05 inventory before the new models come out they might have to at least be able to service bikes for another year. Just hear-say though. Check out Santa Maria for a deal though since they are trying to sell out inventory. I paid $11,500 including race kit, where as two months ago I would have paid 12,700 stock. CityX's are cool, it just depends on what your wallet says. |

50 miles, in your 'hood, would be an awesome ride on the CityX. >>>And does anyone know if Harley is committed to the Buell brand for the long haul, or any chance of it being dropped in the near future? FACT: Harley-Davidson is DEEPLY committed to advancing Buell, on a number of levels. There is no chance of them "dropping" Buell. Court |
