Saw this on reddit the other day.
http://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/234lw w/i_rode_a_buell_1190rx_yesterday/

TL;DR:

quote:

Pros:
+Smooth, refined engine and transmission
+Comfortable riding position/ergos
+Flickable, confidence-inspiring handling
Cons:
--I think the front fairing is ugly and the tail looks plain compared to the sexy RSV4 and Panigale
--Clutch is very heavy at a stop
--The sound of the exhaust is nothing to get excited about
--Rear brake lever is poorly positioned
Rating: 4/5 stars
TL;DR: Very comfortable and easy to ride literbike!

I agree it does remind one of 300 or 250 when jumping off a 600 or any other liter bike, that is until you ride it back to back with a 300/250. Then, it feels like a truck without power steering. I don't agree on the mileage. You can get 60mpg per tank riding it like a scooter below 5k. Get on it and you will average mid 30's. Get on it HARD like at a track, and its mid to upper 20's. The bike builds confidence while simultaneously destroying will power. I love it!

My instant and tank MPG is right on the money, usually around 40-45 unless I romp on it. The average is a bit off it seems, maybe it starts at 0 and works it way up as when I got the bike at 5 miles it was at 22 mpg average, now at 750 miles its 34.2 and climbing
