Some of the track changes requested by FIA in order to run the MotoGP bikes have been completed.
The first one,the bridge move took place Dec 24 and is square in the middle of our corkscrew view.
I have been talking with Gill Campbell(pronounced "Jill"; )President of Laguna Seca and she assures me that our new view will be even better!

Gill and my Very Wonderful Friend Mary from Scramp(Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula)Whom are the Governing body of Laguna, are working together to see that our new sites of the Corkscrew view are better than before.Since they have to remove dirt from Rainey Corner to improve runoff this will set us back and higher than before.Mary assures me that the moment new sites are marked off she will send me pictures I can post.Untill then here is a link to see bridge move.

What about the rumor about a possible second Laguna Seca AMA Superbike round later this year?

How cool would it be if they could fix up Laguna Seca so that it could be run clockwise?

Agree that TX needs an event. Used to hold one years ago @ TWS. AMA gave up on that, but TWS has been seriously reconfigured since then. With Houston (4ht largest city in US) and DFW, San Antonio, and Austin not too far away there would be an enormous bike population to draw audience from.
