Just registered on the forums and found this area so thought I'd post my favorite ride to date.

This story starts out with at my house south of a west Texas town. It was a normal HOT summer morning and I was planning on changing the oil in my 1125CR. I knew I had to warm the oil up before I changed it so I got on the bike and planned on riding it to the marina a mile from my house. I had forgotten that there's a fee to enter the park the marina is in but as I'm pulling up to the ticket hut I see the definitive shape of my dream car. At the hut there is a white navy blue striped 2004 Ford GT40. I'm sitting on my Buell drooling. The only one of these cars that I had ever seen was in a dealership when I was 17. As a kid, I had posters of this car on my bedroom wall! Continuing with the story, the guy driving this beautiful machine ends up turning around out of the park because, like me, he didn't want to pay to drive through it. I talked with the guy at the hut about the car for a second before turning around myself and playing catch-up. At the main road back to my house the GT40 turns right and takes off. Jittery feelings are shooting up and down my spine. To the left is my house where an oil change awaits me and to my right is this car that I had fallen in love with as a kid. I turned right, seizing the moment to pursue this dream, not knowing where it would lead me. South of my house there's a back road that weaves and winds in between some west Texas hills. For about 12 miles I weaved, accelerated, decelerated in time and sync with this white Ford. Needless to say, the car's driver and I were both having fun taking the tight corner and gunning out of them. The best part was that this all took place on Father's Day. When I got home I called my dad and told him what had happened. My dad was just as happy and excited as me and the connection we made over an unplanned afternoon ride was unforgettable.

welcome to badweb, i love those cars as well. have been drooling over them for some time as well lol. no to be a stickler tho, but i believe they are just called ford GT not GT40. The 40 means that the origional ford gt40's roof stood 40 inches off the ground. since the new ford GT is a bit taller, they couldnt call it that.
