Hi guys, having had my Uly now for under 2 weeks I am already planning the first trip away from the UK. Being native German but living in the UK I do get home a fair bit and usually fly, however I have done it by bike before. (see report: http://www.freewebs.com/bmwrideruk/2007germanylars kate.htm ) This time I have only got about a week to do it...and the plan is to leave the UK on Friday before the Bank holiday. I have already booked my Eurotunnel ticket...I know ferries are more fun, but the tunnel is quick! I will than ride all the way to my parents home near Leipzig...my missus is flying in the same evening as she is only staying for a couple of days and than jets back. I than have about 5 days which i will spend riding with my best friend Thomas (aka Mops) and we will head for the Erzgebirge, maybe into Czech for a day and than the northern Bavarian hills and the Harz mountain before I will get back to the UK. Total mileage will be around 2500mls. As usual I will take my camera and take loads of pics and a full report will be posted on my website. I cant wait to go...and this being the first trip on the Uly it will be even more fun!!! Thx Lars | ||
