Miles= 300+, Hours= 9.5, Counties= 4, Freeways= ZERO!!! Spending the day riding with your Dad= Priceless!!

We started out from Willits just after Ladysleez's wonderful breakfast. Dad on his Beemer and us on the Uly. Follow along if you like, just zoom in on the map and enjoy the roads!

http://tinyurl.com/q7sjoz

Left Willits, just after 10 am, on 20W to Fort Bragg, I gassed up, Ladysleez swapped rear seats so she could get a couple pics of me, and some of Dad close up.

Continued down 1 just past Mendocino to the Little River Cemetery, where we jumped off the bikes so we could show Dad a neat natural wonder, there is this hole in the ground where the waves have carved a tunnel into, with a small beach at the bottom, didn't feel up to repelling, and the pics don't do it justice, you'll just have to stop and see for yourself.

We continued South on 1 for a bit, then went East on 128 to Boonville for a quick break. Continued on 128 to Cloverdale, then stayed on the frontage road (Dutcher Creek), to avoid the freeway! Turned left at Dry Creek (if we would have turned right we would have hit the infamous Skaggs Springs Rd, another time!) to Lytton Springs Rd, under 101 to Old Redwood Hwy were we hung a right, then a quick left on Alexander Valley Rd. We stayed on 128 for awhile, got a few more curves in. Stopped at a little store at Tubbs Lane for an ice cream sandwich and to stretch our legs. Ladysleez took a few candid shots.

Continued up Tubbs Lane to 29, back to some nice curves, got 4 wheel drifted by a silver Mini!!! If you are following along on the map, we hit some great curves here! Then we rolled into Middletown to gas up.
Back on and we hit 175 W to Cobb Mountain, took a left at Bottle Rock Rd., connected back up to the 175/29 just south of Kelseyville, then stayed on the 175 (affectionately known as Hopland Grade, no vehicles over 39 feet allowed!!), a twisty little section where Ladysleez proceeded to get “car” sick because she was trying to take pictures while I was on high speed mode. No puking involved!! We crossed 101 at Hopland and jumped on Mountain House Rd, this section was pretty good, but the pavement was rough in sections and we even got a bit of gravel road, about 12 feet!!

We connected back up to 128, and headed back up to Boonville for a quick break and stretch, also allowed Ladysleez to calm her tummy. We continued back up to Fort Bragg for dinner, bought Dad a bowl of chowder, I had fried seafood and a cup of shrimp creole, Ladysleez had fried prawns and a cup of chowder. We got geared up and made the final stretch on 20 back to Willits, I let it rip through here, there is a great section of uphill 15 and 20 MPH turns that I usually get a real rhythm going on and put the edges of the tires to the test!
Got home almost exactly nine and a half hours from the time we left, my rear tire is now down to the wear bars on both sides, with some nice feathering.

Thanks Dad!

Thanks for posting that! Next time you're in Ft. Bragg you guys ought to try the Fish Grotto down at Noyo Point under the bridge.
