OK Folks.....it's that time again for making all our arrangements for the upcoming Races at the Lake!!..As most of you longer time Badwebbers know , the SCAB group...(Southern California Area Buellers) host a huge party at the track on this race weekend. In fact , other than the American Sport Bike BBQ each year, this would be the best event we have....And believe me , this is the funnest , most event packed weekend you'll ever have on this coast!

We purchase 3 spots , side by side overlooking the most Famous Corner in Road Racing in America...The Corkscrew!
These spots cost us over $1000 dollars but when you get there you will agree they are an Incredible View.The cost for these are partially paid back via Raffles we have at every meeting during the year. American Sport Bike puts up most of the Goodies we raffle so we want to Thank Al and Joanne of American Sport Bike for their extreme GENEROSITY in providing these great raffle prizes.The remainder of the prizes are provided by Jerry Johnson and Pineapple via his extensive connections at Buell. Jerry brings his 37 foot Fifth Wheel and he and I rig it so when we lower the tailgate for the garage it creates a platform for viewing that stands 15 feet off the bank.

The other 2 spots are partially covered in tarps for the tent farm we have availiable on a first sign up , first served arrangement.
There is nothing better than waking up to the sounds of 40 angry motorcycles buzzing around the track.
We have a list of the regular people coming for this , however if you think you want to stay please post up here so we can see if we can fit you in!

If your plan is to come up by bike and you need someone to haul up your equipment please contact me or American Sport Bike Al or Jerry Johnson and we will put it in the 5th Wheel and have it there on Thursday.

SEE Ya ALL at the RACES!!!

If there is a spot avaliable, I'll probably ride down Saturday after work.

Hey Mike....it looks like your the last person to fit in the Tent Farm....just as long as your tent isn't the Taj Mahal size!
If were all gone to Cannery Row when you get there.....sometimes we do that.....call us and we'll arrange to meet you....though usually by late that evening there is no-one to stop you from going up to the spot and setting up where you can find room.Email or call for contact info....}

If there is anyone else out there whom hasn't emailed Me or American Sport Bike Al yet about staying , please do.We have NEVER NOT been able to squeeze someone in.I have recieved the Support vehicle and Corkscrew View Reserved Camping tickets and all is Good.
As far as the Friday morning ride goes , instead of the Santa Cruz ride I have done in the past , I am working on a Morgan Hill to Metcalf Road to Mt Hamilton ride up to the Observatory. Mt. Hamilton is a low traffic ,open(not alot of trees) very twisty road overlooking the entire South Bay. Travis(Tbear) and I grew up at the base of this road and it was our learning road as wee youngsters.....(yes , we actually were young once!)....think V8 Gremlin sideways or Honda 305/450 and Suzuki T10 runs! It's also great for Bicycle Bombing runs with a couple of turns that are so tight cars have to do the"back and cut" exercise to get around them.

Be ready Friday morn by 9:00am!!

Looks like I've got Saturday off now, so I'll ride down early. Set up my Taj Mahal and enjoy the races with the gang.
