Court and Erik, Hey Mikey got his package today. Wow. Thanks. What to say? He's good people. You're good people. I think you just turned a two-time Buell owner into a three. I can hear a Uly fan runnin' in his garage with the pipes cracklin' after a run up the mountain and back.  Ferris, Cool ride and to tie it all together with friends and good times from the past into the present. My Dad was a master of it. All four of you are worthy his equal. Just about wouldn't trade anything for the adventures and friendships that come with motorcycling. JB2 P.S. Ferris, I know what I saw and I can confirm that aliens are panty-snatchers. i'll have the wife try it in the ultra jb. any other time i've put a music cd in the computer, it comes up all right but for what ever reason not this time. nice "mr bill" touch there jerry. i was up on the blue ridge last week. me and a few other guys from the area met up with etenuly for a little ride. ended up at grandfather mountain and had lunch across from lake lure. gonna haveta go a little further next time to see what the other end looks like. | ||

We had 4 kids in a minivan with Shelly, and were iron butting it from Lebanon Ohio to Emerald Island, NC. It was a 12 hour drive. I just let the GPS do the plotting, and I was doing what the nice lady told me to do, and low and behold I look up and see an exit marked "Fancy Gap" and "Blue Ridge Parkway". I was past it before I could think about it, but sure enough I could see a waypoint on the GPS for the FerrisDome. As we were 6 hours into a 12 hour drive, with 4 kids already starting to get restless, and the granparents in another car about half a mile behind us, stopping was not really an option. But I wish I had planned better so we could have stuck our nose in and said "hello". Thanks for the great shots Ferris! | ||

Reep - You came to our neighborhood and don't call? Emerald Isle is like an hour from the house. Next time you come down let us know. We can always get together for dinner. Ferris - Cool ride and pics. Which reminds me the mountain grass is getting tall. By 25th it will need cutting. | ||

You gotta watch for them aliens... They show up in the strangest place's! Then see what happens when you let them hang out, they take off cruising the country side with you! I'm really surprised the little bugger didn't put the move's on "D"! I think this is what started it all! Strangely enough, when I did a search for the pic here on BadWeb, it was the first link I clicked on and there it was! I have to admit, this isn't my best work in Photoshop, it is my most favorite of all time though!  The pic of Matt and Alex is such a classic shot. The smiles on both of their face's say's it all. I never had the chance to actually meet Matt in person before he left us, thanks to jerry though, that day I did in a roundabout way. We both had a feeling the little dude had hit the road with you and "D", since we weren't getting any response's to our emails asking if the package made it. Thanks for taking us along on yet another wonderful ride on some of our country's most beautiful road's. I hope one day Shel and I will be able to make it out that way in person. JB2, i gots absolutely no idear what yer talkin' about, but...i'm sure you enjoyed it. :-) nice "mr bill" touch there jerry. i was up on the blue ridge last week...ended up at grandfather mountain... gonna haveta go a little further next time to see what the other end looks like. thx Neil. we u-turned at GFM yesterday (the shot of the RK in front of/alien on top of the BRP sign), after taking 221 south out of Blowing Rock (Almost Rodeo Drive). 221 is nice and twisty, but a lot of marbles in the corners. nice view looking up underneath the Linn Cove Viaduct as you approach. give a holler next time you're up this way, e-mail is best, maybe we can hook up. :-) Great pics Jerry. Jim, Thanks so much for the package last week, and awesome to talk to you over the weekend. I'm hanging a little north of Denver this week, and am just crazy for a motorcycle ride up here in the mountains. Jerry, Thanks for posting that pic, that's one of the ones that I have hanging in my den at home, and it brings back a lot of memories of that trip. Those aliens traveled a lot of great miles for a great reason, and I still need to get up and meet Corso. I showed the DVD to Heather, I had a few tears in my eyes by the time it was over, and I think she's starting to understand how important this all is to me. And she got to hear my new friend Butcher tell a few stories... See you all next Memorial Day, if not before. Alex | ||

Jb2 - just had a chance to watch the DVD. Please pass our thanks to Brian for capturing such a special day. I've got to get all of my patches on a jacket soon. Big Jims patch will join the C3 and Matt Ware patch. If you find that you need or want more decals (large or small) please let me know. My local guy has them (along with the Matt Ware stuff) on computer and will print more anytime I call. BTW - did I give you a  patch? | ||

Kristi, Got 'em all, the patch, the decal, the huggie. Thanks again! I have a stack of patches. Can't decide on a vest or a jacket. I'm not much in the flash department so it's kinda new to me. With so many special patches I need to do something with mine too. Milo, Glad you were there. Was glad that Brian captured the deal at Lost Bridge. We won't ever let the big guy on the Uly get out of our sights again! Alex, Good talk with you too. I'll be in Denver the 23rd of August and heading west on the Vic with Gentleman Jim, Uncle Warren and Brian. That's the trip that we'll be within a 100 miles of your farm if you wanna pick up the cross. Mikey was telling me this weekend how much he thought of you and was glad that you came. Butcher enjoyed himself too amongst us "almost outlaws". Lou and Carol Usher already have next year penciled in. You bring Heather and I'll bring Kim! FB1, I have no clue as to what I'm talkin' about either. Just ask Kim! Have you introduced the alien to Fozzie? You know that might be some kinda interesting outcome. Maybe it's just me . . . and I'm willing to discuss it. . . but could we take "fallen" out of the thread title? I've got what is essentially a "Big Jim" shrine here at the headquarters of the Buell Historic Preservation Society and "Big Jim" is all about living, life and living life to the fullest. I never met him yet he talks to me at times. Just a thought. | ||
