Planning a 3-4 day (no camping) bike trip ASAP to Front Royal, VA/Skyline Drive from Pittsburgh, PA.

This is a no major highways, no interstates allowed trip.

Any recommendations (where to stay, eat, must-sees, etc.) would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
john H.

Down the west side of the mountain from the entrance at Front Royal is the Luray Caverns - pretty cool.

My brother-in-law's family lives in Warrenton not too far from the Front Royal entrance, so I've been up that way a number of times. There's a restaurant not too far from the Front entrance on Skyline Drive that has good food and a killer view, so plan on stopping there for lunch.

Oh yeah, watch out for the douche bag Virginia State Troopers. Reckless driving citation last time I was up that way on my bike. Notice I said citation. You don't simply get a ticket - you must return to appear in court.
