I did a search and I think he's in from CT.
I'm surprised he made it past Michigan without Spidey or Newf corralling him.

I'll be there in a couple of hours!
BTW, Scott's from New Hampshire, not Connecticut.

Hey All...had a great time at the Boiler Room on Tuesday evening. Wow, I really did not expect that large a turnout. Trust me, a fun time was had by all and Dana's brother really has a great lounge. Di and I will be stopping by when ever our travels take us through Racine.

Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

A good time indeed. Bubba, Jprovo, Scooter, Crusty, Newfie, Spidey & his gang, the Iowa Boys, some of the KC mob as well all made it.

The Boiler room was pretty damn nice. It was a lot better than expected by a few of us. Good call Dana.

Tomorrow should be a damn good time.

Bill...like I said earlier..WOW Ya done good.

Thanks Dyna...Took a while to find a keeper, but as we all (should) know patience is a rewarding virtue. Especially at this age.

Wow...What a day! The feeding at Hal's was excellent continental fare. I never saw so many different types of bagels outside of NYC. Court joined us there and made the ride to Buell in his rented cage.

Jason (ThunderDad) and I rode sag on the route to East Troy and on a few occasions had a chance to see what about 80 bikes look like in procession ahead of us. Impressive...Very Impressive.

Many thanks to all that acted as crossing guards so we could ride through the red lights, stop signs, etc. and a special thanks to the East Troy Police Department for the escort through Town to the Buell factory. Would have been a real mess doing the roundabout at the town square without their assistance.

Once we pulled onto Buell Drive, Fuell had a photographer there taking pics of the procession coming in. Then we all got to park side by side on the same side of the street. Again, an impressive site. Especially, when you take the time to notice all the out of state license plates. Not to mention Newfie and a few Knucks!

Court Canfield gave a welcoming speech and introduced Erik and his staff as well as Tony, Dana and Dennis the events organizers. Erik gave a heart warming ad lib about how wonderful it was that we honored him and his company and then mingled with everyone signing autographs and just kickin' tires. A true gentleman that never forgot his roots.

We then went to sign in, receive Buell 20th Pins and get divided up into groups for the factory tour. One could say that an assembly operation is sort of mundane, however, in this case it is not true. Anything Court has ever said on the BWB about the computerized flow of materials and work is true and it is really a well groomed operation. Not to mention the professionalism demonstrated by the employees from top to bottom.

After the main factory tour the group headed over to the farm to see the original barn that Erik started the company in. I missed this part of the tour and hope that someone that did it can fill you in.

Tonight is Tony's night to impress the Bueller's at Hooter's. That is if he can get any of them out of the pool at the hotel. Turned out to be a hot, clear day and all were suffering a bit from the heat.

Thursday is a free day and everything from rides to tattoo's are planned. I will be at the hotel around 8:00 AM to scarf up some free breakfast and help give directions to those that want to venture out on their own tours of the area. Will probably also lead a group through the twisties if anyone is up to it. LOL

Am really looking forward to Thursday evenings Banquet as well as the BattleTrax and send off BBQ at Uke's on Friday. For those that can stay an extra day, Hal's will be hosting BattleTrax on Saturday.

Well, that's about it for now. Hope you enjoyed the narrative and am willing to bet you wish you had taken the time to attend the event. Honest, we missed you!!!

Nevco summed it up well. I took a pile of pics at the original shop, I'll get them posted tomorrow. I got home safe, hit about 30 miles worth of storms with 3 of the Iowa guys.

What an awesome 36 hours.

Bill, I will be up to the hotel around 8:30 or so. I know I said 8 but its been a long day.

PS..never made it to Hooters, hit Applebees instead & still a great time.

PS.PS... The barn is not something that can be described, it has to be witnessed. Will tell you about it tomorrow, but when you first pull up the whole scene looks like something out of a mad slasher horror flick.

Dyna...Thanks. See you at the hotel. Looks like another hot one with rainsuits optional. Hope the storm front Awprior hit doesn't come this way.

Awprior...Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. Hope you enjoyed your stay. I still can't get over the excitement of the ride to Buell and hearing Erik speak. (Would have mentioned Court, but he is ever present and ever heard. LOL)

When you consider the devilish smiles and comic personalities possessed by Erik, Court, et al...just what did you expect?

Well Ralph,Mike and myself made it home about 10pm last night. Only hit a little rain outside of Dubuque. Had to stop and beg a trash bag off a gas station so my posters wouldn't get wet. It's good to be home but I know I'm going to miss out on lots more fun.
Thank you to all that made this happen, you know who you are and I don't want to list names out of fear of forgetting someone. You done good!
I think Erik was a little shocked at how many of us showed up yesterday.

Ride to the edge!

We definitely can't forget Court. Hopefully someone can quote what he said better than what I can. Definitely a cool guy. Henry Duga was also a great person to talk to. I've met him before, but not on home turf like that.

Dave,
Glad you guys made it home safe. I'm sure Craig will have more interesting stories when he gets back...

So who's going to be the first to post a pic of their new ink?

I'm waiting to see the pics from the barn. Don't know if anyone captured a pic of the original bodywork or molds on the shelves. Neat piece of property there.

Thursday evenings banquet was not your typical feeding frenzy. It was one of the warmest most entertaining events I have ever been to.

Due to accumulated sleep deprivation, I am not going to ramble on about all the details. Just rest assured if you ever have the opportunity to attend an event put together by this same cast of characters, you simply need to be there.

If I were to pick a moment to focus on, it would be Erik Buell's ad lib presentation. Erik covered the 2004 product line from concept through execution and used the same visuals used for the media press releases.

Erik concentrated on the engineering that went into making this new breed of Buell's both reliable and highly advanced within the industry as well as winners both on the track and in the real world.

I must admit that I was skeptic at first after all I have read (or not read) via the many industry publications and websites. However, it became quite clear that the media has been holding back on the objective and has been focusing on the subjective. I have a strong suspicion that this situation will be changing soon.

Kudos to Tony, Dana, Dennis and an all star supporting cast of thousands for putting on a very entertaining week and a special thanks to all that came to share in the Buell 20th. It really has been a memorable event and I am looking forward to many more.

After almost a year in the planning, it's great to see so many people enjoying the fruits of our labor. While I was only able to attend the Wednesday presentation (and I was even "fashionably late" to that), it is something I will NEVER forget. I've been to a number of Buell events (including 3 Homecomings) and this was the largest concentration of Buells I remember seeing in one line! It actually brought a tear to my eye.

I'd like to thank the supporting cast for all their help. To keep from missing anyone, I will only name my 2 co-chairs. Many thanks to Spidey and BadS1!!!!! Without our hard work and inspiration, this "little joke" Spidey knows what I mean would never have happened.

Now maybe BRAG will bring back the Homecoming for 2004. And if not.....there's always this crazy bunch on BWB to but together our own gathering. Or maybe we'll just wait to celebrate Erik's 25th year of motorcycle history.

My thanks again!!!!

Dennis
