50 is a nice number. Manageable yet not ungainly. Big enough to look like a parade, small enough to not get into a yoyo contest on the freeway.

I hate riding in the rear almost as bad as being in the rear of a force march back in my Army days. Lots of wear and tear for nothing other than looking cool.

Fortunately, I got KP duty at Hal's and will probably have a nice small group to ride with later. Should be more interesting anyway.

I figure Y'all can be standing in formation presenting Erik with the card and we can come screaming up with open pipes at full roar. That ought to get a cheer!!!

Will probably give that Kimmy an upset tummy as well when "more" ride in. heh heh heh.

Gotta remember to strap on the thermos that day, maybe the ice cooler too.

Will start the day with three frozen canteens and add water as needed. Figure somebody will dry out and need a drink or cold compress.

Hope Blastin doesn't forget the first aid kit! Jerry, you payin' attention to this???

Two Days To Go

Here is the information on that HOG Group I was talking about.

Bridgewater HOG

Membership to Bridgwater International is open to all HOG members.
The aims of the club are simple. We will follow the normal rules of HOG membership. The club is non-political; non-religious we are all colour blind. Our aims are to foster good relationships between like-minded people worldwide. To freely exchange ideas and information and to give help and assistance to one another when ever we can. We can act as a point of contact to other members if they require information about travel through our area. A local is always going to be the best way to find out what's on, where to stay, where to avoid etc.

A membership application form is available click here. For all international members the best method of payment would be to transfer the funds from your bank directly to ours and to email the completed form direct. Once we have confirmation of transfer and the form we will mail out the membership pack. The first year's membership will get you, membership card, Bridgwater International rocker and a pin. Renewal has not been sorted yet but we plan to make it as small as possible to cover a year rocker if we do one at most.
If you require more information then make contact by email or phone. As we get more members we will set up Country/area/state reps so that you can get information locally.

Seeing we are coming from all places we should consider forming an International BRAG Group calling it the Bad Weather Bikers BRAG Group

All we need is a Sponsoring Retailer. Does anyone know of any that would help out????

I think we could pull it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heya Newfie... I think we should ask the Buell Factory to sponsor it... ask Erik himself... and call it the 20A Brag Group or the East Troy BRAG Group or something like that... eh he he.

E-mail me, dude, I want details of your journey so I can keep track of you...

Also: would someone post some SPECIFIC directions to the Hotel... from North (Green Bay), from South (Chicago) and from East (Madison) I think it would be really helpful considering we are all going to have to contend with rush hour traffic on Tuesday night.

And... where is the nasty road construction right now? I know coming through Racine between Milwaukee and Chicago can be a big pain in the butt when they are patching up the highway.

Thanks!

If you're talking about an international BRAG group you might want to talk with someone involved with the AmericanSportBikeNight group out west. They probably have a very workable format, and are well known to many people both inside and outside of the multi-corporate structures.

Canoe, flying squirrel and an escort from the Moose.

I will be leaving home 8am on Saturday August 16th.

I just realized I am gonna pick up 1.5 hrs as I move across the country.

So where does the time change again when we get into the US.

Also,

I need to know the speed limits for highways, secondary highways and cities, etc, etc. I wanna do some conversions as we all can go faster up here.

Mike,

I was not interested in the American Sport Bike guys in starting one, the intention was to start this BRAG Group at the 20th then branch out on an international basis from there.

We would require a sponsoring retailer to make this work.

Are there any takers???????

Newfie...Just mark your speedo in 10 MPH increments from 25 to 75 MPH and you will be fine. China marker, pin stripe tape, etc. all work well.

Rule of thumb: Interstates are 65, secondary highways are 55, cities 25 to 45. All with the usual disclaimer..."Except where posted."

There is a time zone change between Michigan and Wisconsin, not sure where the exact point is. Also not sure where you pick up the extra half hour either, probably as soon as you get off that island/continent up there.

The reason I suggested A.S.B.N. is because of the dealership sponsorship aspect. Kind of hard to find a local dealership willing to sponsor an international association.

I also wasn't suggesting to build it from the A.S.B.N. group, just to ask them about formatting and structure and such. I believe they are a non-specific-dealership group, but one of them will have to speak on their behalf.

If you have 25mph, 35mph, 55mph, and 65mph marked on your speedo with a little tape you should be okay for most zones. Speed limit signs are posted at fairly regular intervals.

Oh, and we use gallons down here, not liters, for gas anyways. ;)

yeah that is weird.. that we use liters for pop, (or soda depending on where your from) but gallons for fuel.... figure that one out... and i know someone will...
