Recent trip to Deals Gap, I was looking for a place to stay for the night. I headed down the hill off of the Blue Ridge Parkway on NC Rt. 80 south. It is a fun road. The road surface isn't great, and there are some houses (thus driveways) as you get closer to town, but it is still one of the better backroads I've ridden.

Buck Creek Road! Man, that is an AWESOME road. I first discovered it ~25 years ago (in a car at the time) while we were on vacation. I finally got back up to try it on my S3 a couple of years ago. There are lots of other great riding roads nearby.

My mother-in-law (as well as Glitch's parents) are from nearby Marion, NC.
