The local Mini Cooper club that my wife and I belong to went for a run up Mt. Graham, my wife drove the Cooper...but I took the XB. It was a really nice drive (approximately 340 miles round trip from Tucson). On one really nice long down hill straight on 191 I was tooling along at 100, when this Mini went passed me. Not ever having opened the Buell up all the way before, I decided to see what she could do.
The Cooper has a speed gov. for 136, and I had heard the XB's gearing wouldn't let me go much more than that. To my surprise, when I finally passed the Mini, I looked down as the bike started missing.... the speedo said 143. WoooHoo! Surprisingly it felt really smooth, no wobble issues at all.
It was 46 deg at the top, back in Tucson it was 84.
