There's a big Cobra rally that occurs on the west side of columbus every summer, I'd say that at least couple of thousand of those cars show up for it. Very cool to see and hear.

Established in 1908, AC is the oldest British car manufacturer that is still making vehicles today.

The AC name came from the name of their first commercial 3-wheeler; The Autocarrier; that was designed and manufactured by John Weller.

That's certainly something I'd forgot with time. Thank the lord for Google otherwise I'd have looked a right chump!

The AC Ace was a pretty unique sports car in it day. It had an all aluminum body and was very light for its power. My Dad used to do tune ups on one occasionally in the early 50's.

I remember the Sunbeam Tiger too, with its Ford 260 V8. That was a real sleeper.

But the AC body and chassis were the birthplace of the Cobra. I think the 289 Cobra was better car than the 427 on real roads. And it got better gas mileage.
