FB,
I don't get up all that early and arrange for lodging ahead of time so 10 12 hour days are the norm for me on the road. Also, I don't slow down for picture taking let alone stop. That can really hold you up. Don't worry about me and it would be wonderful to ride part ot the way with the legendary Feriis Bueller. If I can get to death valle from your house I should be good the rest of the way. May even bring a GPS with me, altho getting lost is half the fun. See ou soon.

Paul, i'm only legendary in my own mind, and even THAT is under review...
i promise not to take TOO many pix. 
we'll roll when YOU want to roll - this is YOUR ride, my friend.
i plan to escort you and crew thru Death Valley to Tecopa, California (just south of DV).
from there it'll be a fun romp for you on Old Spanish Trail to Nevada Hwy 160, where a right turn to the south points you right at Las Vegas.
i plan on being at Bartels by 8:30-ish next Thursday morning.

thanks Scott, i appreciate the offer! i've already got plans to meet Unibear in the morning on my way thru Bakersfield. also, i'm a very early riser, as you know, and i'd rather ride to LA in the cool of the morning than the heat of the afternoon.

Great great day! I saw the Uly come into California, wouldn't have missed it going outta California (with it's owner this time!).
Yes, U never know who is going to show up anywhere in LA. But Fonda, at Bartels? That is a first! |
