Bads,
Do you know if they'll have the "official" competition around 1 or 2 pm like normal? I think WestBend last summer was the shortest due to weather and attendance. Ran in the morning, quick lunch, two laps after a couple late arrivals had some practice laps, and done before 2 if I remember right. I'm about an hour or more away, so I'll probably arrive during the lunch break. I'll be practicing on the freeway on the way down. :) My tires should be good and warm. ;)

Mike . . . . . I'd fiugre on the competition running in the early afternoon, as most of them were last summer . . . .but, on the other hand, you've seen me be wrong before, and it IS a long time off . . .

newfie

battletrax.com

sorta knida like a slolom or autocross , ,, , very tight course set up, generally in a parking lot, marked with cones and the white lime used to mark the lines on a football field (both kinds) . . . generally 1st gear (although some courses are long and fast enough to warrent 2nd), rewards smooth riding and control inputs . . .HP not a factor, but an agile scoot and agiler ride definately ARE . . .

check out the b'trax pics over on storm fronts

Bomber...Responses to the survey were "light". I think I had approx. 10 people send a survey. However, I still think the numbers will be in the 75-100 range. It's still 6 months before this event materializes. I'd expect we'll get a large number of "local" riders (Hal's, Uke's & Windy City).

Hal's has offered a support vehicle for the week. Keep in mind, I think they're idea is within 1 hour of the dealer.

I have an email out to some of my "elves" (no, not Team Elves, just local elves). I'm waiting for some final confirmations before we put out complete agenda.

Gotta get some work done.

Hey Bomber,

You have to ask for permission to come and play in "OUR" backyard. We can't let just anyone find out our secret roads and eateries.:)
Brew City has already volunteered to do some "guided" tours through the Southern Kettle Moraine on Wednesday after the factory gig. Wanna help?

Jerry

Jerry . . .I'll be glad to help/ride/plan/cheer/eat/lather/rinse/repeat . . ..

as for permission, well, that's a pretty toothelss utterence unless there is an "or else" attached to it (grin) . . . .. course, for there to be an "or else," ya gotta catch me first

Mike . . . .that's aces, sir . . . . plenty of time between now and then . . .. . I'm just figuring to keep the data flowing for a couple of reasons . . . . .

reason the first . . . .keep folks interested, and feeling that there will be things to do when they show up (except for Dyna ((smile)), who always has plenty to do), and

reason the second . . . . maximize the turnout for all the obvious reasons . . . . a number of businesses have gone out of theri way to support this thing, and it seems to me that the best way we can show our appreciation for their support is to get as many folks out to play as possible, yes?

Dana, I have absolutely no idea . . .lots of numbers have been thrown around, but, since I've not really been involved with this kinda ho-made celebration before, those numbers may be accurate, wishful thinking, or somewhere inbwetween . . . . . if I guessed accurately all the time, I'd go the the horse track and make some bets!
